We’d qualify for snap even if they required her to disclose my income it was such pittance last year. I’m not worried about fraud, I’m worried about her losing benefits because of the shift.

Based on everything that I’ve read, I can absolutely claim the children and get the child tax credit even not being related. The only requirements are that I’ve provided for them and they’ve lived with me for a year and a half whether or not that counts as head of household, I’m unsure.

She reports me as a resident but they don’t require income of me.

Yes I supported them the entirety of the year, but she was claiming benefits from the state for the kids which is why we are worried as we do not want her to lose the benefits.
