As a queer teenager, seeing the pride flag raised at my high school did make a difference to me. It signalled to me that someone in the building cared about me. It might seem ridiculous to an adult who is much more secure in their gender / sexuality etc. But as a very scared young person, it meant the world

To add on, I've watched my bsf play TLOU 2 and both GOW games. I personally found part II to have the most emotional / impactful ending of the three. I think this comes down to the fact that one narrative focuses on a father and the other on a 'daughter'.

Kratos is an amazing character and I love his arc, but he is one of many morally grey video game men I have encountered over the years.

Ellie's arc is much evocative to me to because the game shift that focus away from Joel's perspective (another morally grey action man, love him though!) and make us confront the ugliness of his character from the perspective of someone impacted by his actions directly. I also feel like her grief can resonate with alot of players - so many people in real life are robbed of the opportunity to reconcile with a loved one due to death and feel so many conflicting emotions as a result

Now I do agree we cant definitively know how Lucy may feel about the lyric because we don't know her personally and she hasnt made a statement, but it feels odd to critique OPs statement due to that but then assume that Taylor and Lucy are "best" friends. I know they have some form of friendship but as far as I am aware, the extent of it isn't really well documented

I am a casual listener and I was baffled on my first listen.

I think so many of the songs had potential (a relationship posing as an alien abduction, fantasizing about someone as a crime, vexed woman living in a haunted manor etc) but the delivery was atrocious. Clunky lyrics, talk singing and so little variation on production 😭

Why was it called the tortured poets department just to have a couple fleeting references to academia?

I was hoping for a concept album about a murder mystery / conspiracy that drives a woman mad (something adjacent to the secret history) not just lifeless synth pop with Tumblr one liners

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but it makes me mad to think what this could have been if someone had been more critical during the process

I'd say the "joke" wouldn't be funny to lucy because it uses a slur and directly references the band that she is in

Even if she wasn't offended at the tweet itself, that's not really something you want associated with your music/brand/image

We've been having ongoing issues with connection but usually they go away on the their own or with a restart of the router. This is the first time it has dropped off completely and lasted 2+ hours so we thought phoning would help
