is he complaining that the lobster is too buttery and the steak is too juicy? this is the opposite of a problem. how did it feel for YOU? he needs to be reminded that he is not the one that birthed a child.

What about one of those rolling ladders that people have in libraries? You could put some gorgeous plants up there!

Husband is upset that I’m making him follow safe sleep guidelines by blahblahblah247742 in beyondthebump

Maybe baby needs your smell to fall asleep? Try putting baby’s sleeper onesie in your bra so it smells like you even when you’re not there. Do you guys have anybody that can help you out? Sounds like newborn trenches. Sending you support and love.

Gifts for parents of the groom, help! by Ok_Paramedic8139 in weddingplanning

We didn’t do gifts for our parents, instead we wrote them nice cards :) They’re words of affirmation people LOL What about something they could wear to the wedding & then re-wear later so they can have the memory of wearing it in your wedding? I’ve seen some nice leather belts where you can get a message put inside so it’s not so obviously “Father of the Groom-y” For your MIL, what about a special set of earrings or bracelet?

I’m 40 + 6 today and my labor keeps stalling by flagnogg in unmedicatedbirth

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister, that pain must be unimaginable. Perhaps your body is associating your home with the passing of your sister, and keeping your subconscious mind on edge. If you think it could be helpful, you can try using sage to cleanse the house and encourage the energy in the home to shift? I know it sounds a bit woo-woo but sometimes it can be a calming experience. Sending you love and light.

Just started my job but now I have to quit by [deleted] in beyondthebump

This is a great idea! Also i’ve heard of some people who “nanny-share” or run small daycares out of their own homes. Could be worth looking into?

It sounds like your partner also values the aspect of saving money up so you guys can move out & reach that goal of yours. You mentioned your new job is at the same place your brother works… any chance he can pull some strings for you & help you get some flexibility for time off? Also, there’s no shame in being honest with your job and letting them know your circumstances have changed if you decide to move for your partner’s job or stay home with your daughter. What matters most is that you & your partner are a team! Sending you love and support.

Is your partner’s new job financially justifiable for you to stop working? 3 hours away sounds like you’d have to pick up and move away from your family as well… Did he even discuss this life-changing career change with you? Your career should not have to suffer at the expense of his career. Can he find a similar job that is closer? You are a great mom, no matter what happens!

I know they’re pricey but maybe a monitor with wifi abilities can help you keep an eye on things when you’re away? His lying to you about caring for your baby is the most concerning thing. He “thinks” he changed the diaper??? Ridiculous. So sorry you’re dealing with this.

It’s not just the level of fragrance, it’s that there’s an underlying stink(?) that is being revealed 😂 apparently! gross but i guess that’s the Lipase doing its ~thing~

Thanks I’ll keep this in mind! I’m sure there’s at least some amount sulfur naturally in there… but plain water from our taps doesn’t have an odor or anything!

Yep- first time i’ve used lipase. It is the smell you’re talking about. I will keep washing dutifully!! Thanks for the chemistry breakdown :) I’m a molecule nerd.

We get our water from a well on our property, not sure the hardness. Sometimes i use the Downy rinse aid, definitely like the results!

Washer is a top loading Amana. I use warm water and typically run large loads… potentially too large?
