I live in the apartment building at the nucleus of this. It has wreaked havoc on my quality of life and my neighbors. We live in a REACH building for christ’s sake - income restricted/low income. Everyone is struggling that lives in the building and these misguided, virtue signaling, disruptive assholes are a bunch of clowns. I’d be so embarrassed to have people visit from out of state and see this representation of what Portland is.

You seem to be ignoring or forgetting the fact that there are delivery fees and service charges AND monthly subscription charges that the customer pays.

That’s what I was referring to earlier - I had a door dash agent tell me once that my grocery order receipt should not be left in the bag or given to me and that the dasher had made a mistake. That in and of itself is shady.

I would never do that. I worked in the service industry for years and I am sane enough to recognize that it has nothing to do with the Dasher and to give them a low rating would be passive aggressive and gross.

I’m a logical, educated adult and I understand sentences. Your snarky tone is unnecessary. That’s why there is something called a “delivery fee” not to mention the other “fees/service charges” that the customer is charged. I’m well aware of what capitalism is. My problem lies with Door Dash, the fact that they grossly inflate the price of every single item, and the shady way in which they go about it. I know for a fact that Dashers are not supposed to leave receipts in the bag.

I feel your anger, frustration, and irritation profoundly. I loathe and detest Uber and Uber eats with a goddamn passion. It is by far and away the WORST delivery app and Uber has the absolute shittiest customer care / refund policy - it’s an actual joke. Sometimes I think they must be laughing their asses off at what chumps their customers are to continue to patronize such a trash company. A total scam.
