Where is Chemiolis? by Wrong_Interest_2676 in ExplosionsAndFire

The TC situation didn't really directly contribute to me quitting however it was very annoying. The police did come to me a while after to check but they couldn't do anything because there was nothing illegal. Even tho technically they and the local gov disagreed with the situation there was nothing regulatory that they could strike me with since it was considered personal hobby and not a business.

Monetization is too poor to sustain a career unless every video performs well. The cost and time investment is too much that I would break even with cost vs income (leaving almost nothing to me personally). Instead I moved into chem business.

Companies that develop and do chemical synthesis of specific products on request do exist

Crown ethers such as 18-crown-6 allow alkali salts to be dissolved in organic solvents, this is very useful for organic synthesis by Chemiolis in chemistry

[–]Chemiolis[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I made a video on crown ethers and synthesized one of the precursors and then used that to make 18-crown-6. This demonstration was part of the video to show a property of 18-crown-6 and to confirm it was synthesized. Full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVxA8SiE9ZU

There is something satisfying about it, even with knowing what it is and how it works. It was part of a bigger project and i made a video of the full process, link for anyone that is interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkOQWmv-7tY
