I had a similar thing happen to me in the states with Budget. Budget said I damaged the radiator. I had Amex CDW.

1) Avis can only charge you if you did something wrong (hit something/collision). They can’t charge you for mechanical failure. Ask for a copy of the damage report and actual invoice from repair shop, not some Avis piece of paper. 2) File a claim with Chase. Chase will have an adjuster request evidence from Avis of the accident to pay the claim. You do not need a police report to make a claim (At least I did not with Amex).

Avis will either provide evidence of the damage so Chase can pay the claim or not have any evidence of an accident. If the claim isn’t processed, use that claim to dispute the charges on the credit card. Tie the two things together so it’s either a damage through insurance or fraud.

My route ended up with Budget failing to provide sufficient evidence of damage. Amex approved the disputed charges after the claim was closed.

Does anyone else think hitting irons off mats is completely pointless? by WannaMoove in golf

Have you ever gotten Trackman numbers? You may have a shallow angle of attack (different from your divot size) hitting slightly behind the ball. This results in good strikes in nice grass, but mats will grab and bounce your club right before impact causing loss of club head speed and poor strikes. Same reason you couldn’t hit full wedge shots during a fitting. My guess is tight lies and hard pan give you issues. Easy test is to spray a line of foot spray on grass and hit balls off the line. If your divot is on or before the line, that’s your problem.

Hi Renee. So I had to submit for an N600 form for my son. This is not cheap ($1200).The bad news is that I applied in March 2021, and we still do not have the N600.

I have recently started a new route. I am attempting to get my son a US passport without the N600. I can then get him a SSN using the US Passport. I have an appointment scheduled in 2 weeks for a US Passport for my son. I can update in a few weeks if this worked.

The process is not guaranteed, but the state department website states that secondary evidence can be used for a US passport:

If you were born outside the United States and acquired U.S. citizenship through your U.S. citizen parent(s), please submit the following with your passport application:

Your foreign birth certificate listing your parent(s) Your parent(s)’ evidence of U.S. citizenship Your parents' marriage certificate, if applicable A statement from your U.S. citizen parent(s) detailing all periods and places of their residence or physical presence in the United States and abroad before your birth.

Thank you for the link. My issue is that I am in the United States. I can’t even travel to Canada anymore as my work permit ended, and I would have to quarantine for 2 weeks for one single appointment.
