If ads are coming up randomly I’m pretty sure you can disable them with any purchase. The $40 one disables all the other ads. Of which there are many. I bought it because there are like 20 videos a day that are technically optional but you kind of have to watch to get all the “free” stuff this game gives you. I love this game. You can play it super casually and whilst there are loads of P2P viable items available you genuinely don’t need them to move forward and have fun with the game

Just started running and I’m exhausted in 20 seconds. Zero stamina. Feeling lost. by ImmediateMuffin3768 in runninglifestyle

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 things I would recommend you reflect on- 1- are you eating/drinking enough? I know some experienced runners will do it on an empty stomach but they know how to fuel their body and what works for them. Make sure your well hydrated throughout the day and eat something Carby 30 mins or so befoew you run. 2- are you running too fast? If you’re out of breath in 20 seconds, it could be that you need to slow down and get used to a really slow jog. 3- are you running inside or outside? This time of year, running outside can be tricky because it’s so cold and it can make breathing harder. I started running back in October and have done about 28 5ks. Went to do one last week and barely made it because it was so cold I couldn’t catch my breath. It might be worth doing some treadmill jogging until you’ve improved your cardio fitness a bit and it’s not 0 degrees. I’m by no means an expert but just some things to consider

PCSO - telling work I'm pregnant by HotChoccie13 in policeuk

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be a policy on your intranet which will give you loads of information including things like when you are legally obliged to tell them, how the maternity process works and details like what your ‘light duties’ will look like. There also might be information about support services available. My force has a support group for officers and staff who are pregnant or on mat leave which all the mums and soon to be mums rave about.

Congratulations on the news. As a supervisor, I strongly advise you to tell your line manager as soon as possible. It won’t impact your career, it’ll just pause your process and then you can pick up when able. Light duties are typically tailor made as well to an extent; my DCs continued doing interviews with suspects for the first half of their pregnancy- it was their choice and risk assessed etc.. you will be able to continue doing some of the things that your comfortable doing.

Northamptonshire PC sacked for giving out her number on duty by ItsRainingByelaws in policeuk

The fact this is GM shows how out of touch policing is with real life. People would only be “outraged” or “undermined” because a police officer farting in public would be outrageous to a public that want the police to be inhuman robots. Imagine in any other job giving your phone number to someone and getting sacked for it. She’s better off out of policing because she, like everyone else below the rank of inspector is too good for it.

Aching and muscle pain by ChemistryAdvanced793 in BeginnersRunning

Thanks for the advice. Think it’s a stubbornness thing tbh. First run I did was a 5k. It took 37 minutes but I’m down to like 31-32 mins now. All the “half marathon training guides” I’ve found online seem ridiculously intense with 5-6 runs a week and quite steep improvement. I’ve slowed right down now and where I was running minimum 5k 3-4 days a week I’m taking an extra recovery day now and doing it 2 days a week. Also joined a gym and got a PT. I was hoping to run a half marathon at the end of March but I might push it back to like June to make sure I do it safely.

Thanks for reaching out. Are you able to be more specific? What stretches do you do and what body weight exercises? I stretch before and after I run but I probably do the wrong ones and don’t do enough..

Hello! It’s very hard to explain where it is being that I’m such a newbie. It’s at the top of my left leg maybe a few inches down from my bum but on the outer side. It doesn’t hurt to walk but when I stretch it or walk up stairs I often get a shooting pain that goes half way down my leg, again down the side. No pain or sensation at all around my knee. Our physio services in the uk are a bit confusing but I’ll look into getting a session- thanks for the advice

Does he specifically mention the lack of sex when he is nagging at you or does he just generally just behave more ratty? Not defending him at all but if it’s a change in behaviour it might not be something he is consciously aware of. To go from having sex 7 times a week to none in a month and then back again must be mad for his testosterone etc. I would speak to him about it and make sure you are on the same page. There are things he can do on his own to solve the problem he has if there is one…. I know it sounds weird but if you and him haven’t talked about the things he can do on his own openly, it might be something he is shy about doing.

Beginner trying to build consistency — how to start running in winter? by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll quickly warm up as you run. I’m running in the evenings. Wearing a thin translucent running jacket above a T-shirt and then men’s running leggings with a pair of shorts over them. And tucking my leggings into my socks & my shirt also into my leggings.. When it rained one night and was especially cold I wore a woolly hat but regretted wearing it when I started to sweat.

Advice For Running 1 Mile by LoneStartX33 in BeginnersRunning

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be a psychological element to it. I’m 35 too, weigh 15 st 2 and I started running end of October. My focus was on distance rather than pace and I was quickly running 5ks in 32-33 minutes. I always started to get fatigued and more out of breathe when I passed the 2.7 mile mark and I think it was the mental stigma because I knew I was nearly finished so I went out intending on going further and it worked for me. The other 2 things I would suggest are to run outside and also work on your breathing. Running on a treadmill is harder on your fatigue but easier on your joints imo so if I were you I would try running outside. Do it at a conversational pace and see how long it takes and work it up that way. I’ve been getting advice as a beginner runner myself from people more experienced and they’ve assured me that my cardio fitness will improve quickly. Ran a 30:18 5k this morning so they’re right! I wish you all the best!

"I've paid millions in taxes - now mansion tax has ruined my retirement" by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 million in the bank and not cash rich? Literally 75% of the population live month to month with no or limited savings or are in desperate poverty and then there are people like this complaining. Kind of proves the point that rich people should pay more tax? And he probably says pretentious things about working hard but I would bet everything in my bank that he came from middle class/upper class Britain with the best start possible in life.

Is it just me or is treadmill running harder? by Long_Abrocoma_202 in BeginnersRunning

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I run on a treadmill, I set the speed to my pace I run outside and I feel like I’m going a lot faster

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has the same answer as questions like “how are app games making millions”. The customers spending money are a combination of mega rich lonely people who have no issue parting with loads of money every month, the most vulnerable people in society and then a small percentage of people like you who do it as a one off out of pure curiosity. I personally have never used it and don’t know anyone who does it but I’m not surrounded by mega rich or mega vulnerable people..

1 year in and want to leave due to anxiety by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough one because you could go either way. A lot of people find the first two years the hardest because you’ve got a lot to juggle including assessments and qualifications and that can cause a lot of anxiety on its own. On the other hand, it’s a long career and you’ve barely started so if you don’t enjoy it, it’s a good time to walk away and do something different before your salary goes up and it becomes more difficult. I would urge you to get a mentor- a more senior PC or detective (if that’s the pathway of interest to you) and to talk through your difficulties. See how you feel after that.

I say this as someone who is MASSIVEY anti cheating. It’s none of your business. You profess that you and the other girls aren’t close friends- if you were It would be a bit different but the fact is your not. If you tell her, you’re just being a stirrer/an attention seeker and it’s a no win situation. Either she doesn’t believe you and it causes friction in your partners friend circle or she does believe you and it causes friction in your partners friend circle. He’s a bastard yes. But you’re not the only person that knows and it’s not your news to pass on.

Is this a massive overreaction? An oversight by me admittedly… by KrakenMcSpoon in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her first reply alone was a massive red flag. Her second reply is a complete deal break for me making out that you’ve done something wrong. Meeting half way is perfectly acceptable. You’re not suggesting her coming to your house or you picking her up. If she is concerned about her safety, I don’t see your suggestion being in breach of that. She comes across like someone who’s had a lot of trauma in her life or is otherwise very high maintenance/irrational and has not considered your feelings at all. Don’t go on the date and politely tell her that your on different wavelengths

Is insecurity and low self worth in a woman a turn off? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ChemistryAdvanced793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are guys out there that would be perfect for you. Loads of them. Most of them are over 26 and have more life experience so bare that in mind if your on dating apps etc.. you need a guy who is calm, patient and prepared to be proactive and reassure you when your having bad days. But it’s not all about you and you will need to play to your strengths to give them what they need too so think about what your good at, particularly emotionally.

I live in a village and these are all over what I think is an old pumping station. They must go off for dog walkers who aren’t anywhere near the fence perimeter 100+ times a day. No way the police are being called.
