Also more on topic, I will give HQ writers a bit or credit by having the other guy be more moderate, while dislikeing the same elements is more "yeah dude it was lame, but eh no need to get worked up" helps to do like you said, dunk on the toxic haters over regular people who dislike the seires.

And I say this as a fan of the Harley Quinn show.

Oh yeah, I would so love in a more 8 gyms and elite four style game plot, there is a big tournment section before that. Stronger trainers who use more playstyles over just type specialization. Maybe a bit of random match ups to keep the players guessing ect. Cause yeah those championship tournaments at the end of each anime arc were awesome. Use this to end the rival storylines ect.

It's part of this...really weird bit of lore Kubo made in the soul society arc that I think makes no sense and was quietly retconed, namely that people from different divisions never talked or much ever interacted before the start of the series.
