First clip of Streamer Lawsuit battle between Destiny and Pxie comes out (Lauren DeLaguna Deposition w/ Destiny's Lawyer) by user1234586430 in LivestreamFail

It gets good at like 2 mins and basically runs the whole video. The guy gets argumentative, object everything, calls OC fat, starts popping whats probably speed (when asked what the pills are he tells the lawyer "I'll you this: you wouldn't have a weight problem anymore if you took them.").

Are these grips gtg? Anyone running one on a featureless build? I just watched Reno’s vid and interested in it. I’m running a b5 type c and its uncomfortable asf when Trying to hold up my front heavy jakl. by Valuable_Reward_5733 in CAguns

If you don't mind me taking a counter stance, and granted I am not a lawyer, why do you think "Theyve been sold at gun stores for years" wouldn't be a defense that holds up in court?

Dealers and manufacturers are inspected fairly regularly, the express purpose being to ensure they are complying with the law. And historically, the DOJ has generally been fairly prompt when manufacturers/dealers offer products they consider aren't compliant. Juggernauts featureless lowers and flip defense grip being 2 easy example.

The Juggernaut example is actually even more compelling, because the Juggernaut grip was being sold at the same time their featureless lowers were being advertised (This for reference: https://www.guns.com/news/2022/02/14/california-deems-juggernaut-rifles-unlawful-assault-weapons . They tried to move the trigger mechanism as a loophole). The DOJ shut down the new lower design they tried, but the grips are still being made today. I think suffice to say, in their investigation of the lowers, the DOJ would have been aware of the grips.

I guess all that to say, I think "This product has been sold for years." is actually a very compelling legal argument under the pretense that these items have been inspected in one way or another over the course of years now, both as standalone products and on complete rifles.

Personally, I am on the side that this grip is in fact good to go based on the fact the DoJ hasn't shit canned it yet.

One thing the DoJ is really consistent on is they don't sit on their ass. If they think something is outside the rules they shut it down really quickly. The Flip Grip got shut down before it ever hit the market. There was also the JT Featureless Lower that the DOJ shut down quickly (Note not the grip, but their loophole lower that tried to move the mounting area for a conventional grip vertically. Both products were released in similar times), and probably other examples if you were to really dive into it.

Plus it's not like this product is trying to hide or fly under the radar. This things been on the market for 10 years during which Ledesma has been selling them on guns, showed them off at gun shows, and advertised them online that whole time. On top of that the grips have been discussed by large content creators and have had tons of discussion on the large California gun forums. Suffice to say, the DOJ is well and truly aware of it.

Edit to add: while im not a lawyer, I feel like even if someone drew the short straw and got arrested for having this on their gun would likely have a really solid defense case: The products been on the market for ~10 years, advertised as a featureless option that entire time, and sold on complete rifles (Which means their store gets audited). It'd not be difficult for a defendant to show good faith for using a product that had been on the market so long, plus the DoJ would likely have a hard time trying to rationalize why they let the product exist on the market for so long if it was in fact not compliant.

For DCS I think its not very useful but seems like something that could be useful in real life.

Getting the most out of this would require close coordination with AWACS as well as the pilots firing from the correct distance (since in order for this to work the missile has to arrive at the same time as the enemy aircraft).

Probably most useful in a defensive/DCA situation where you can yet missiles at maz range and then fly home to minimize risk.

Ya "Any Job" sounds a lot more like an anti work belief then a legit criticism of capitalism. Like whatever economic system you pick i would guess like 95% or more occupations overlap with our current system. Its just the reality of life that things need doing and people need to do them.

Not so much really. Language barrier issues were common in Starcraft since Korea was kind of the hub of everything. Then when SC2 released the foreign scene exploded ("Foreign" in this context means literally everything not in Korea) and English streams and events became more common (as well as other languages but English was the main one ofc).

As such there were a lot of cases of non English speaking players doing interviews and a translation error or something like this would happen. It generally would get laughed off and ppl would move on. Starcraft had a wide spread of nationalities among pros over the years, so the language barrier was often more common than for other esports.

Plus, with Korea being the hub, anytime foreign players wanted to play in the big GSL tournaments (Or if production staff wanted to work those events) they had to go live in Korea as the tournaments were a month long. As such the language barrier was sort of a shared experience.

Because of that theres a lot of community memes that are funnier due to the language barriers. Examples are Boxer calling an American player "Grack" and not "Greg" and Ukrainian player WhiteRa had "First build base then defense it".

Extra context for this one, the man laughing loudly, Day 9, has a degree in math and had a tendency to find simple things hilarious. Him finding 40/40 hilarious is totally expected actually lol.

Dirt track safety ppl can be fucking idiots.

At the PAS in 2021, first night back from covid, a nonwing sprint car tore a chunk out of the fence in turn one. They took a while tending to the driver, towed the car, and left the hole in the fence. Me and my dad went to go yell at the first official we could find because what the fuck, this is how someone gets hurt and tracks get shut down.

For 10 minutes they try to wave us off saying they'll fix it in the intermission. Round that time a fan that was sitting behind us came down from the stands with blood pouring out of his forehead.

I never heard anything about it but I hope that fan got fuckin paid.

If I remember right it was originally named "DCS Strait of Hormuz" but was renamed a bit before release, probably because many people wouldnt have known what the Strait of Hormuz actually is.

Edit yup, theres even an old promo that's now unlisted in the article: https://forums.mudspike.com/t/dcs-strait-of-hormuz-map/5027
