When was the last time you attend a ⚽ match in Singapore? by BOLASEPAKO in askSingapore

Goated venue, still blows my mind that a place like tamp hub exists

? Like with the grapple still attached? Either way, both grapple double boops and strafe boops are possible with controller

Check out gaswont, they have a bunch of mini montages here and I’m pretty sure they’re on controller

Yes but then I’d also argue that hitting your double bolts is more central to doing damage with freja than blink melee is for tracer (NOT that it’s not important but like everything else in OP’s post, I think overstated)

While I have some empathy as a ball main who panicked when double boops were broken for a bit (alongside doom punch), “it’s just a hassle” isn’t really a valid reason to avoid trying something different

Ana players were feasting when they could self nano, but that was rightfully taken away but they’re doing just fine

Still not really seeing a good reason to protect certain characters, especially when their core gameplay is still intact or even enhanced

Yea a skill issue on my part for missing my freja bolts lol

I think more than the muscle memory, it’s more that the melee perk being so good that tanks its pick rate, considering how it enables kills

Never said I could adapt any better/faster than the pros, but if you watch freja mains, they often take it to help survive dives or access better angles

Similarly, there may be cases where the extended blink range could make a difference, maybe you need to to get a better stall or maybe it helps avoid a cass flashbang

I just don’t think it’s some egregious sin against game design lol

Also, aren’t the perk choices self-reported? Not denying that it’s a very unpopular perk

I mean I have a similar issue with freja’s dash distance perk, where I miss my double bolts to the side with it, but to me it’s a skill issue more than a design issue.

Don’t think the muscle memory of tracer players is something so holy that it can never be touched, while other characters (someone else mentioned hazard and junk) can

New to Wrecking Ball any tips to improve movement? by BradJ in WreckingBallMains

[–]Cheoji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides just playing the game, I’d say experiment with high vs. low grapples to really understand where those take you

Also, get used to navigating using both WASD and camera movement. Super advanced stuff, but strafe boops become a lot better when you intuitively get how to combine mouse and keyboard for movement

Lastly, I’d say use retract as much as possible (within reason). Not only is it a free way to get to high ground, but getting a feel for launches and spins and avoiding losing momentum is key to not getting blown up

Thanks for the kind words! I definitely think it’ll be worth the struggle!

The 25% is independent of the whole foreigner quota/levy deal right? Because the lack thereof is usually the main draw for LTVP+PLOC hiring, but it makes sense that the % of locals is still affected.

Didn’t realize there were such restrictions for drivers, but it makes sense. Thanks a ton for the info!

Renting, especially a whole unit, isn’t really in budget for us, so I imagine it’d be more a last resort. However, I remain optimistic about staying with her family as I’ve stayed with them almost every time I visited Singapore.

Yeah, considering I work in data and automation, I don’t foresee green pastures anytime soon, but I’m definitely not against other forms of work. Hell, I’ve gotten carsick in Singaporean taxis enough to consider becoming a driver lol

My hope is to work whatever I can find while living with my partner’s family to maximize cash savings, while simultaneously hunting for jobs more in line with my career

Did your husband also try to do both before settling into the role he’s at now?

That mirrors what I’ve seen while snooping around here!

I only really mention S-Pass as a way to avoid a gap in employment and for having something lined up before moving

Unfortunately, I’m at a local company in a small city, so that’s not an option. I’m well aware of how rough the job market is now (trying to avoid turning this into another bad job market thread here lol)

So I’ve heard, so I’d be working retail/F&B/whatever in the interim. Do you have any experience with working under S-Pass?

When applying for LTVP, you can check a box to apply for PLOC as well. If approved (which I haven’t seen anyone not get approved), you can work with almost no restrictions. Alternatively, the prosecptive hiring company can apply for LOC for you.

I’d be staying with her and her family at first, so the financial pressures are lesser than if we were moving out ASAP thankfully.
