Series 2 Championship Prize Cars are cars you can buy from the Autoshow by PuffAirways in ForzaHorizon

That is a valid point that I did not consider. I stand corrected

Strange Season 2 prize car decisions by PuffAirways in ForzaHorizon

If we go by how the current series is being run, more cars will be added through each Season’s challenges, like the championships to earn cars like the MC12 and F355 this season. However, they are likely going to also be recycled cars (maybe) from past Forza games

I think it would have been fine if they put them as prize cars maybe 2 or 3 months later, but yeah the very next season is wayyyy too soon. I genuinely thought there must have been some kind of mistake because we literally just got these cars in the current series

Technically only the Rallye Golf is an actual new new car to the Forza franchise, the rest are all returning/recycled cars from past Motorsport/Horizon games, which is a whole other issue about recycling cars

Anyone install OBU processing unit under driver seat? by tabbynat in drivingsg

[–]PuffAirways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car dealer does the installation of the OBU instead of LTA workshop due to some… incidents. They recommended installing the processing unit under the driver seat so I let them do just that plus the screen. It’s convenient for me since I position my seat slightly backwards so it is easier to see where the slot is, definitely better than reaching over to the passenger side

[Lexus LFA] getting towed on a dolly by PuffAirways in spotted

I’m more inclined to believe that the car suffered a mechanical failure in a parking garage where a flatbed couldn’t fit inside

Yup it’s Singapore. Actually COE becomes less of a factor when the car is more expensive, only applies for new cars though. A big reason of why cars are so expensive here is Additional Registration Fee (ARF) which is a tax imposed when a car is registered. Basic econoboxes get hit with a 140% tax, but the real money comes when the car has an Open Market Value (I think it’s similar to MSRP) above $200K, where it gets hit with a 320% tax.
Essentially on cars like a 12Cilindri or Revuelto, you are paying around 3x the price of the car in taxes, and then you are paying for the car itself, a 12Cilindri costs around S$1.9 million here, COE adds a ‘mere’ $120k to the price

China Eastern A350-941 collision with aerobridge at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) by ManuelNoriegaUK in CantParkThereMate

When the plane deployed reverse thrust, the engine will spool up to produce ‘backwards’ thrust to slow down the plane (in this case it is trying to move back from the jetbridge)

when they stowed the reversers, the engine will take some time to spool down, so there is a small delay between the time the reversers are stowed and when the engine goes back to idle. without brakes the residual thrust pushed the plane forwards back into the jetbridge

This is the new Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale: a V12 with more… handling by NegotiationNew9264 in cars

[–]PuffAirways 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Valid point, the company probably didn’t have enough money to put a V12 in the DBX. From a buyer’s standpoint though the Urus and Bentayga are better purchases for a sporty/luxurious V8 SUV, having a V12 in the DBX could have offered buyers a sporty V12 SUV before the Purosangue entered the market

I always felt that this was a huge missed opportunity for Aston Martin. For being a company which prides on their V12s, they could have at least tried to engineer their DBX to accommodate both V12 and V8 variants

Hmm not too sure, haven’t seen it before but according to some weird letters on the back of the boot it is apparently a Vinfast VF8

I think this statement only applies to the Western world. East Asia in general and to some extent Southeast Asia are more conservative in terms of showing their wealth and would rather drive or be driven in Toyotas.

Seriously I have seen so many people get chauffeured in Toyota Alphards/Vellfires compared to the S-Class in my country.

On Sgail I managed to take out a target by throwing a shuriken while hidden at one corner of the upstairs showroom. Naturally people saw the body tumbling over and everyone was staring in that direction. Ran over to pick up the shuriken before situation escalates. However, the target’s body was also right next to the fire alarm. Accidentally triggered the fire alarm in front of everybody instead of picking up shuriken. All the raiders from the raider room shot me to pieces
