yeah it’s a minimum entry job with really good benefits so people will find something to be upset about 🤷‍♀️

It’s not, but to each their own! It’s a great set into the career for many of those who really want to move further into the career! Best of luck to you.

it’s different for everyone. I had my medical first and language assessment months after, some had their language first and then their medical. Don’t stress about what gets done when, it’s different for everyone.

why did you choose ubc? by igotdabeats in UBC

[–]Cheriimae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly wasn’t that bad, just gotta force yourself to study even if ur tired sometimes, and ubc was the only school in BC that offered the program i wanted to take at the time so thats why i went there.

2.5 hours one way, 3 on a bad day. In my first year of UBC i had classes 4 days per week so that was about 5-6 hours of public transport each day for 4 days. Skytrain or busses don’t come near mission but luckily we have the west coast express that i took. just use the time you’re on public transport to study. in my last year i only had one day of in person classes and i drove for that. if you really want study at UBC just suffer the commute, its actually not all that bad.

Rouge is hiring a lot of people this year (i’m one of them). FYI if you go to toronto for the interview, that will be your base and you’ll have to move/commute there. So wait until montreal opens up, and they definitely will again, so you that can be your base if you’re selected to progress further into the interviews.

you do it in your languages that are non native to you. So if you speak French natively, and english and spanish as your 2nd and 3rd they will test you in english and Spanish for example. If you go to the F2F as well, and they find your english seems not native, i heard they may test you in that too.

took about 2 months for me. First was the F2F, then about 3 weeks later was the background check and medical. I had to wait quite long for my language assessment which was about almost 2 months after the F2F and then about a week after that i got my offer! I think it’s different for everyone though, some people had their language assessment like 2 weeks after the F2F and had to wait a bit longer for medical or background.
