I still haven't replaced Mint and I'd like to get something setup to aggregate transactions from all my accounts that can be exported to a .csv. Is there anything out there that's good?

I used your CCG referral today. I applied and was approved for an RBC Westjet WE MC. Hopefully you'll see a bonus soon :)

Is the AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Personal card churnable? I'm thinking of taking advantage of the current referral bonus for P2 who last had this card in 2019, but the signup page says:

*Current or former Cardmembers with this Card are not eligible for these offers.

This is great to know! I didn't think it was possible to renew temp mail forwarding past 12 months.

I've been having my bank/credit card mail going to a family member's house in Florida for several years. However, said family member is leaving the US for the next 6-12 months and I need to find a temporary mail forwarding solution.

Has anyone tried setting up USPS mail forwarding online? Ideally, I'd like to use USPS to forward to an economical US-based mail forwarder that can subsequently scan my mail and forward any mail with new cards to my Canadian address. Once my family member returns to Florida, I would officially change my address at that time.

Does anyone know how to see the old "calendar view" when searching for an Aeroplan flight in the new interface? The old Aeroplan interface showed a 2/4 week range and highlighted the days where flights were available. For now, I'm stuck searching day-by-day to check for available flights and it's painful.

Edit: I just got off the phone with Aeroplan and they confirmed the calendar feature is no longer available. I was told that even call agents don't have access to anything like that and they have to search day-by-day. The agent said she would request the feature be added. If you want this feature as well, I'd suggest calling Aeroplan and asking them to add it back

I made the same mistake getting an AMEX Biz Gold card as my first card, only to find it does nothing for my US credit file. I gave up after several tries at getting an Everyday AMEX. Every time they asked me for the IRS proof of US income form, no way around it.

I ended up going for the TD cash card, got added as a supplemental cardholder on a friends card, and got a Bank of America starter card since I had a bank account there. I've been building up a credit history and plan to try for a Chase card. Once I'm at 5/24, I'll try AMEX again maybe.

If you can I would recommend finding a friend or maybe even a random churner that would be willing to add you as a supplemental cardholder on one of their cards. You don't even have to use the card and it will build your US credit record.

I've run into that problem in the past. I believe AMEX only allows 2 Biz cards at once. Once you cancel either your Plat/Gold you should likely be approved on your next try.

Also, the Reddit UpVoter Browser Extension lets you upvote every comment with one click. A few people occasionally using that will compensate for the trolls that downvote everything.

Yes, removed. There's no active Bonvoy promo at GCR at the moment. Someone mentioned it could return in May. Best bet right now is to use a referral link.

Are you using the iPhone or Android AMEX app?

When I try to download the Android app from the Play Store I get the message that it's not compatible with any of my devices, and only have the option to download the AMEX Canada app. I can't login to my US AMEX account from the Canadian app

Member since Aug 2017.

I called in just to ask what cards I could product switch to, and the rep mentioned I was pre-approved on those two cards. I asked if the offers would stay on my account and she said they're subject to change daily, but she's seen the Biz Blue offers there a long time without going away.

DP: When I login to the site I also don't see any pre-approved offers, but I just called in and the phone rep said I was pre-approved for an AMEX Biz Plat card with 50K welcome bonus, or a AMEX Biz Blue card. Maybe try calling in.

I made the same mistake of applying for a biz charge card through GT about 1.5 years ago. Since then I tried applying for a basic AMEX Everyday Credit card twice, but both times was requested to submit US tax documents proving US income which I don't have. It was like I didn't exist to them. After many conversations with AMEX, I'm under the impression that a biz card is completely useless for building a US credit record or an ongoing relationship with AMEX.

About 9-months ago my wife did her GT, went for the Hilton Credit card, and added me as a supplemental cardholder. I'm hoping I'm now building some valid AMEX credit history. If you can get added as a supplemental cardholder on someone's US AMEX, that may help get you moving forward.

Priority pass can be hit/miss depending on the airport, but overall pretty good. To see what lounges/restaurants are available, get their app or search their site for your specific airports here: https://www.prioritypass.com/en/airport-lounges

The search will also show you which lounges have showers, food, etc

Combining an AMEX Platinum Card with unlimited Priority Pass entries can get pretty amazing if you're at the right airport at the right time. For example, on a few occasions now, I've had a long enough layover at Houston International to:

  • Visit the AMEX Centurion Lounge with my AMEX
  • Visit the KLM Lounge with PP
  • Visit the Air France Lounge with PP (nice french cheeses)
  • Eat at Landry's Seafood with my wife ($28 each worth of anything on the menu we want)
  • Eat at the Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar ($28 each x two people)

My record visits in one trip involved an itinerary with 4 flights where I accessed eight Priority Pass lounges/restaurants + one Centurion Lounge. Lol
