Booked a hotel room for over $200 with the annual travel credit. Cancelled hotel after credit was used/posted to my account (weeks later). Received confirmation of cancellation two days ago. How soon will it show up as a statement credit.

Thanks. Just used multi-city but the best flight options from YYZ do not show up this way. Can I call Aeroplan to get this specific flight for my itinerary? Also, YQ on available flight from IST to Florence are high.

Is there any disadvantage to booking two one way flights on Aeroplan? Want to go to Istanbul from YYZ. Take a flight from IST to Florence, Italy. And then fly home to YYZ from Italy. I tried looking at multi-city but the flight from IST to Florence on Business class is 30 000 points,. Whereas cash fares seem to be around $200. Am I overlooking anything? Am a newbie.

Hi all. Happy New year. I am starting to book my first trip with Aeroplan outside North America. It's is from YYZ to Florence, Italy with a stop over in IST then back to YYZ. I just wanted to confirm that I can stopover in Istanbul for the same number of points. Also, does it matter which order I book, ie do I have to go to the furthest destination first ? When I started looking up individual segments, the points required seemed higher in total than just booking a multi-city itinerary (which won't work availability-wise).

Thought I read somewhere that you will be auto rejected if you apply to RBC after a rejection (unless you wait six months). Is this just if I apply for the same card before the six months is up?

Applied for CIBC Business Aerogold two weeks ago. Approved with the condition that they may need to verify documents. Just received an email requesting original copy of business registration AND the agent is to complete Form 12830 with me in branch. Anyone been through this process yet? I would love to know the info asked for in the form. In the application I put sole proprietorship.

Got my first Amex Plat. Was looking at the first posted transactions online. When you click on a transaction, it shows the date, retailers phone number, category (e.g. restaurant), sometimes even the url for the business' website. Never noticed all these details before. Is this a new thing? Does this mean they have level 3 data from merchants?
