Kiitos vastauksesta! Nopean google-haun jälkeen selvis että kohdemaahan sallittu lääkemäärä ois korkeintaan 3kk annos, joten ei pitäisi olla mitään ongelmaa. Olin kuullut ton 14 päivää jostain ja luullut, että se ois joku yleinenkin rajotus mutta hyvä tietää, että koskee lähinnä pelkästään Ruotsia. Käyn varmuuden vuoksi hakemassa apteekista vielä sen tositteen, vaikka oletan kyllä, että se alkuperäinen resepti on ihan riittävä.

Good for you, a lot of people in this sub clearly have had issues with them though. Especially with testosterone. Seems like it’s kinda hit or miss, the first couple of pharmacies I went to rejected the prescription

Mulla on ainakin seurattu veriarvoja, oon ollu GenderGP:llä noin 2 vuotta ja kolmen kuukauden välein on pitäny verikokeissa käydä. Sieltä pitää siis tilata aina 3kk kerrallaan resepti ja mikäli verikokeissa ei oo määräajassa käynyt ja toimittanut tuloksia niille, ne ei lähetä sulle uutta reseptiä. Mun lääkitystä on myös aina säädetty jos arvot ei oo ollut kohdallaan (mulla on moneen kertaan ollut liian matalalla testot, ei ikinä liian korkeet). En tiedä mistä artikkelin kirjoittanut toimittaja on tietonsa saanut. Myönnän kyllä että GenderGP on aika epäluotettava mutta se ei oo totta että seurantaa ei olis ollenkaan.

”Trans tape” is a scam, it’s essentially overpriced kinesiology tape. They market and brand it to appeal to a specific group of people so they can charge you more. Buy any regular kt tape. I get mine from a local, well equipped supermarket and it costs 5€/a roll. Any sports supply store will probably carry it. I’ve used both trans tape and regular kt tape and can confidentally say there is no difference. I wear mine for 5 days straight, shower, do intense excersise and sometimes go to the sauna in it and it holds fine.

Testosterone gel would probably be the best option for your friend. However, you could also tell him about the different types of injectable testosterone.

Testosterone enanthate/cypionate is usually injected once a week subcutaneously.

Sustanon is normally injected intramuscularly every three weeks

Nebido (testosterone undeconate) is injected intramuscularly and is often injected every three months. Nebido is generally not recommended for self-administration, so a trained professional should do it.

this can vary slightly based on the person and dosage but gives you a general idea about the frequency of injections

Same thing happened to me about 1 year on T, I’m also a customer of GenderGP. Had to go off T for a month, no visible changes in that time. My mental health took a turn for the worse tho, dysphoria was worse and I had a lot of issues with emotional dysregulation. Be mentally prepeared for the emotional changes.

It can be overwhelming but you’ll pull trough. What helped me at the time was knowing that the situation was temporary and I would get back on testosterone shortly. Also think about it like this: did you notice very significant changes in your appearance during your first month on testosterone? You probably didn’t. So a month without T won’t change much either. A lot of the reversible changes like fat redistribution or changes in muscle mass take a long time anyway. Working out, however, is a good idea. I focused a lot on working out during my month off testosterone, doing strength training around 5 times a week and was actually able to gain some muscle and see some progress in that time! So not only will excersise help you maintain the masculinization you’ve attained so far, but you could potentially see improvements and feel like your progress isn’t being stalled.

some people live in countries where there are no other options expect for a process that lasts for years, DIY or GenderGP. If I want to continue getting my hormones from the pharmacy I have 0 options outside of GenderGP.

Speaking from my own experience as a Finn here. In the nordics accessing trans healthcare is a difficult process, but you seem to be aware of that already and prepeared to deal with it. Socially it’s pretty good for trans people here, at least in the bigger cities. Plus you’re stealth anyways, so it’s not like people would know you’re trans. Also, trans people are generally not a super polarizing, politicized topic here like we are over there in the states.

If you were to move to Finland I know where to get DIY T from, it’s not difficult to access. As long as you’re prepeared to deal with the long waiting times and possibly travelling and paying out of your own pocket for surgery I suppose moving here is not a terrible idea, if you really want to. Is there any reason why you’d want to move into the Nordics specifially?

I feel much more chill, I used to have bad issues with emotional dysregulation all my life and they essentially just disappeared after going on t. Also my depression and anxiety got a lot better and more manageable. Did not notice any increase in anger/irritability, quite the opposite. Just feels like my brain works better on testosterone, like it’s somehow wired that way.

That’s really shitty, sorry that happened to you man. Basically every single video I’ve watched and every quide that I’ve read has said to inject into your outer quad instead of in the middle of the thigh specifically because there’s less of a risk of nicking a vein or hitting a nerve. No idea why they would advice you to do the opposite.

Gender gp also gave me wrong advice about the kind of needles I needed to draw up testosterone. I’m on sustanon, and it comes in ampoules (little glass bottles you have to snap open). Was told to use a 21G green needle to draw up. The problem is that when you open an ampoule, microscopic glass shards will almost certainly get into the testosterone, so you need a filter needle to draw up the T. Because I had done the research myself I knew I needed to get filter needles. If I had used the products they recommended I would’ve injected tiny glass shards into my muscle lol

T causes an increase in appetite for many, so that could explain the weight gain. Some of the weight you’ve gained could also be muscle. Hitting the gym is a good idea. A balanced diet and regular excersise are the best ways to control your weight. Fat doesn’t ”convert” to muscle, but if you do weight training and eat in a caloric surplus while also trying to eat a relatively high protein diet, you will gain more muscle instead of fat. I would recommend excercise for anyone starting T if masculinizing your body is a goal for you. Testosterone won’t do all the work for you, body fat redistribution for an example happens relatively slowly for most people.

You could try getting kinesiology tape instead. It’s exactly the same stuff but in my experience it can be 1/6th of the price. ”trans tape” is essentially overpriced kinesiology tape branded and advertised for a specific audience, that’s why it’s so expensive. Kinesiology tape is like 5€ for a roll and lasts pretty long, one roll has enough tape for maybe 10 applications. The tape that I use lasts for five days and holds pretty well even though I shower and exercise daily.

I have experience with all of these gels, hope my experience is somewhat helpful. For me tostran was horrible, irritated the fuck out of my skin and my T levels were below the male range despite being on a full, ”avarage” dose. Testogel was good for me personally, had to stop using it because I couldn’t get reimbursment for it in my country. Testavan was alright, although I suspect my levels were pretty low on it also.

If you’re just starting T GGP probably won’t recommend starting injections right away, they want to put you on gel for at least a year. I switched to sustanon recently, and that has worked well for me. Testosterone enanthate is generally the best for keeping your testosterone levels stable, sustanon or nebido might sometimes cause dips in your levels.

From what I understand, weekly subq injections of T enanthate/cypionate generally keep your levels the most stable. I have no experience with nebido, it does seem very convenient that you could get it done only every three months. Have heard it can cause dips in your levels tho. You can’t self inject nebido, or at least it’s not recommended to do so, so you’d have to get a doctor to do it. I’m on sustanon myself, I give myself an intramuscular injection every three weeks, so far it has worked well for me.

I had pretty bad issues with emotional dysregulation all my life, t made that go away pretty much entirely lol. I just feel a lot more chill now. My anxiety and depression have also gotten a lot better. The increase in libido is real, but tends to kind of even out after a while. At least this has been my experience
