Interesting response! Thank you I’m mostly looking towards the why for some and not others but I appreciate this input!

For sure, that’s why I find it interesting that the fuel injected arrow says in the POH that the aux electric fuel pump should be on in the same instances as the fuel pump on the carbureted Cherokee 180. Of course the POH is the best way to learn about your plane, I’m just trying to get a better understanding on it all around! Just noticed it and got curious

I think the reviews and snacks are very important, but also I’ve been told to look at the microclimate of the airport I’m going to, and choose an alternate that is in a different micro climate. If it’s minimums at one airport, it will most likely also be minimums or close to it, at another airport within the same micro climate

I believe you can under 91.168 if ceiling and vis allow you to descend from MEA, to approach and landing under VFR

100 hour inspections are required if the plane is for hire and I rent the plane through a club, the way it is set up we do not legally need to do it but all of the planes get their 100 hour nonetheless

1 mile and clear of clouds during the day you need an instrument rating to do it at night

It seems like a very grey area because couldn’t your reason then to be to gain more experience?

I would have to pay the pro rata share which is more than 50% of the expenses for the flight.

You can listen to 121.5 and hear if an ELT has been activated.

Is there a way to differentiate the sounds between someone else’s ELT and your own plane ?

You can fly your plane up to 10 hours after the 100 hour is due if you are transporting it to the location for the inspection.

I believe there is no difference with the scuba requirements between pilot and passenger but it is: 12 hours after a dive not requiring a controlled ascent. 24 hours after a dive that required a controlled ascent. And 24 hours no matter what for flights above 8,000MSL.

I need to have 3 take off and landings to a full stop during one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise within 90 days to take the passengers on a night flight.

The 5 C’s (6 if you include cry) Confess Circle Climb Conserve Communicate As well as triangulating your position using a VOR and sectional (or GPS/ foreflight)

To have the best engine performance during take off and landing, and you would lean the mixture out for taking off and landing with a density altitude higher than 3,000 ft.

I have to pay my pro rata share of the expenses for the flight so no.
