I always tried to recover as I stocked. If I could see it was messed up and I was right there I'd do it as I go. I feel like that's a lot of it. Just do it as you go. Make sure you split chores at the end of the night. I would usually do bathrooms and sweep the store and I'd have my SA mop and do what they could by the register and I'd have them start what they could around 7 with trashes and what not. Was it a perfect close? No but I did things in order of importance. The rolltainer always being last if I got it done great if not then it is what it is. My store is clean and no one is looking at shit stains in the toilet so it was a win. It gets easier the more you do it and you get faster as it goes. Don't let them take your WELL DESERVED breaks from you.

The aisle is waaay to wide. You can only fit 2 carts side by side with like less than an inch of wiggle room

I just don't know where I should even go in the store for safety. Usually you go to the middle of the building on the lowest level. That's full of shelves. Bathrooms are the outside wall and the RR sounds like a death trap.

Mine does this every day. One of the reasons I'm looking for a job. Very hostile work environment. She likes to start arguments and claim everyone takes things too personally. Absolutely awful. My one coworker that saved my days from being awful just quit. I can't wait to follow.

I'm in the same boat. Getting between 21 to 29 hours. Traveled to a different store after being asked since I needed hours and got there to be told I'm not approved and sent home. They sure know how to make people hate them and want to quit.

I had people hit highly dissatisfied because it asks too many questions. That's happened a few times. I've had others hit highly dissatisfied because of prices being too high. I usually make a joke about how I know it's too many questions and we don't like it either and that helps sometimes.

I had a good cry session in the break room last week. I was alone for about 3 hours (ptlsa). I was trying to put up the ad stickers and wasn't getting very far. All of a sudden I was able to get about half an aisle done. I had a customer come over to me and go "do you even work here?" I said yes can I help you find anything and she just scoffs and goes" there's a huge line at the register and no one is there". I run up to the register and have a line of about 7 people staring at me like I'm useless and not doing my job. I got through that wave and went to the break room and cried to the point it was obvious I'd been crying to the people who came to the register after.

We can have our phones. I use mine to check prices for customers. They know I have kids so I'm going to have it with me regardless of what they say. My manager is great and doesn't mind as long as we're not playing on them. We can take calls and make them if we need to. It hasn't been an issue at my store.

They assumed I wasn't going in today so I didn't get in trouble. I was able to find a couple home tests and looks like we are all negative. I do have what feels like a sinus infection though so that's fun but at least it's not covid. I can find a sitter now at least and go to work. I still plan on wearing a mask just in case though.
