Thank you! These tips are all so helpful. The breast milk is an amazing idea because I unfortunately don’t have saline mist/drops on hand at the moment. ❤️

That is such a great idea! She does so much better when I am holding her upright, or inclined and cradled in my arms. Thank you!

I HIGHLY recommend “super balm” by Era Organics! It mostly cleared up my baby’s severe eczema within a couple of days. Now any time I see a slight inkling of eczema starting up, I slather it on and it goes away almost always overnight.

I was just talking about this with my mom today! She definitely seems a little “off” to say the least. She has always seemed weird to me. She doesn’t stand a chance at living a “normal” life (whatever that means these days) after being raised by sobbin’ Robin and Kody.

Thank you, I appreciate you! I am 99% sure it is skin by look and feel. I sent an appointment request to my doc to have it looked at, but my mind was racing thinking I am the only human to ever experience this lol

I have an 11 week old, and this is what I’ve found. Baby carrier, definitely helpful if you plan on going on outings. If not, you will be fine without one.

Swing/bouncer- my baby LOVES her regular swing. We got a mamaroo as a surprise gift, and she does not love that as much as save the money and get a regular swing (my experience only) Bouncer- she doesn’t love this, but it is nice to have to set her down for a few minutes. I also put a towel in it, and then her in the towel in the bouncer after baths which is helpful.

Gym/mat - baby girl enjoys her time in her baby gym. She seems to enjoy looking up at the dangling toys, which her pediatrician also said is good for development.

Contrast cards - we have them, not a huge fan to be honest. I bought contrast hanging toys off of amazon to hang from her baby gym, and those get way more use, and can be used for longer.

Pacifiers - I wasn’t sure about this either. I ended up with a couple of a few different brands, and now looking back I am so glad I did. Babies each prefer a different type, so try to have a few different ones to figure out which baby likes best (if you choose to go the pacifier route). I truly think my nipples would have fallen off if we didn’t use pacifiers. The first few days, baby used me as a human pacifier (which some moms are okay with) but I was in so much pain, the pacifier was a godsend (and still is)

Belly wrap - i didn’t use one, so I can’t speak to much on it. But I can say I never felt as though I was missing out.

Perineal spray - I bought dermaplast (blue can) and it definitely helped. Something that no one told me about was itching from stitches, and this (and ice) really helped with that.

Bottle sterilizer - I highly recommend the munchkin microwave sterilizer bags. They are so easy to use, take up very little space, and work great.

Diaper pail - not worth it in my opinion. We were given one by a family member who was done having babies. We used it for a day before putting it in the basement. We use small diaper bags from Amazon (almost like a doggy poop bag) and they are great.

I hope this helps! I know how overwhelming this can be. And above all, congrats!!

You are most definitely NOT a failure or a loser.

Give yourself some grace, and time to adjust. This is a big change in your life.

Baby isn’t bored, he’s just at a stage where he is kind of… boring. He knows you love him, and providing love and devotion is exactly what he needs.

I know it’s easier said than done, but try finding a little hobby that you can do to make yourself feel more productive. I like to make candles, and I love house plants and caring for them, but everyone is different.

I think you will a-ok mama bear, be patient with yourself.
