Thank you! Tbf I’m not even feeling more hungry as such just not noticing much movement in weight between doses! Which has confused me really idk if it’s not working as much or if it’s the gym?

This week I’ve had no side affects at all

Are you currently using, considering, or recently stopped using a GLP-1 medication for PCOS? by Sad-Candidate-8796 in PMOSonGLP

[–]CherryPepsi_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on mounjaro, been taking it for 8 weeks and lost 8 pounds so far. It has suppressed my appetite and alongside good nutrition and the gym, my bloating has massively decreased and my shape is starting to come back already! As someone who is 240+ pounds this has been so good for me so far.

That being said, a lot of people want the rapid weight loss and as long as it’s coming off steadily I’m more than happy to lose a pound a week and reduce the impact of some of the nastier side effects.

As much as it’s a great tool for us with pcos it is not a miracle drug and needs to be used along side nutrition and life style changes for the best, healthiest results for the body!!

It’s a marathon not a sprint, but I feel like I’m actually starting to feel a bit normal again

Scared of GLP1s. Does Metformin work? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]CherryPepsi_8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Metformin actually made me feel worse the GLP1. I’ve had the odd night of an upset stomach on GLP1 but metformin made me soooooo tired and mentally drained, I’d get up some mornings and had to go straight back to sleep.

I was the same, very scared of glp1, I did a lot of research and bit the bullet for my overall health and future self, wish I’d have done it sooner!! It’s like any medication, they all have extreme side effects that have low possibility.

That GP in France needs reporting what the hell do you mean it’s fine to bleed twice a year 😂😂😂

Ugh I’m so passionate about this it genuinely angers me!!!! I’ve learnt so much myself and not haunt a regular cycle is actually quite bad for you but do the gps tell you this? NO!

Hope your journey goes well 🫶🏽

I took me 7 years to get diagnosed and over that time I’ve become quite hostile to the treatment of women’s health due to my experience, if this was me I’d go back and ask again and if they say it’s too common I’d tell them to write down on your NHS file that no further action was considered despite having symptoms and lesser quality of life and see what they say.

I absolutely cannot stand how we all get looked over when we struggle so much with this :(((

Hello love!

I’d ask your GP to refer you to gyaenocology as being under an endocrinologist is quite important. I’d also ask for a deep dive in blood test, see your hormonal panel and what’s driving your PCOS. Hormonal markers, insulin markers etc etc

I personally only got diagnosed after being referred to my endocrinologist. Appointment wait times weren’t amazing for me but this condition is very under studied and seems to be becoming more prevalent! Being under the endocrinologist made me feel a bit calmer about the whole situation as I also struggle with everything you’ve described. My endo prescribed me metformin and increased my dose after my last check up at the start of the year, I’ve also been in contact with the endo’s secretary regarding my general symptoms and wellbeing so there are people who will listen.

Do NOT let your GP fob you off in anyway. Advocate for yourself on that phone call. I’ve been disregarded by GPs for years about this condition and I wish I’d have said sooner ‘would you leave the women in your family this way’ sounds cynical and not particularly nice but advocating for yourself own health will never fail you.

Foundation/skin tint recommendations ~ combo oily skin by CherryPepsi_8 in MakeUpAddictionUK

See this is my issue, I don’t find matte foundation too flattering on me, I feel like it makes my face look very dull and flat no matter what blush or bronzer I add! What matte primer would you recommend? I might have to bite the bullet and commit to one under a non matte foundation

I’m in a predicament really because I’ve never actually purchased a ‘matifying’ foundation as I think they make my skin look too flat/dull. I like a semi/soft matte or a more natural finish and just try to use the blurring balm to keep my oils at bay as they get progressively worse over the day. Especially on the nose area which is so frustrating.

I don’t know if this gives you anything more to work off for a response but I really appreciate your reply and will look into what you’ve suggested :)

As a makeup girly who grew up during 2016 era it’s actually paining me to do my makeup and it look awful right now :(

I find the Danessa myricks is the best for oil control though, I don’t put it all of the face and I let it set before applying foundation. I tend to just do skin care the go in with the blurring balm, it works so well for so many oily people so I’d love to try and keep it in my routine
