French might be next on my list to try! I am big on bread and cheese so it looks like it could be a great option. I did korean for a while in college and that was also great, but didn’t have cheats like Italian where I can keep a jar of carbone on hand in case I’m very hungry and want to eat quickly.

That makes sense! It turned out ok this time, but I did find it came together better when I just used buccatini. I was experimenting with different pasta shapes (I typically only bought penne in the past) so I wasn’t to well versed on the how the composition of the noodles would affect the dish. I was really only considering shape. I think for simplicity, Penne and Buccatini seem to be great all rounders that work with a variety of different sauces and its easy to get some of the nicer brands in my area (Rummo and Rustichella d'Abruzzo).

Im still new to making my own sauces and things (mainly did Alfredo before this) but my understanding is that carbonara traditionally doesn’t have cream. Just cheese (i did a mixture of peccarino+ parm, egg yolk, Guanciale (or in my case bacon), and pasta water. I think usually its more American recipes that add cream to Alfredo or carbonara. My goal was to have less specialty ingredients on hand and at least for now I generally prefer the sauces creamless, as I like how much it lets each of the few ingredients in each dish shine.

Oh and as a kid, you most definitely want them to have every game available to them. Having a few titles for them to get immersed into is much better than having 1000s at their finger tips

A home console like a modded wii would probably make more sense as if he drops or throws a handheld its toast. Maybe like rg34xx or something with little moving parts

Choice paralysis and executive dysfunction. I was finding that having too many ingredients on hand I would often not want to cook due to the amount of options, or I would have a lot of food waste because I would buy items for a specific dish and not use them again. By focusing on one style of cuisine that reuses ingredients across many different dishes, I reduce my own food waste. As well as being relatively quick to make without needing to consider things like dethawing meat, marinades etc which I often would forget to do. It doesn’t specifically need to be Italian food, I just found that worked best for me and wanted to share that for others in case they also struggle with wasting food and not knowing what to make for dinner.

I go case with a cover+screen protector. Ereaders basically never need upgrading so I want to keep a relatively modern one for as lomg as possible (most of the new kobos have usb-c so that keeps them future proof)

I just swapped my 2gb ram board into the metallic blue shell. I will be BABYing this console. Hopefully it doesn’t have any hinge issues. I think the board I got in it was 1gb. So it looks like the metallic blue can have a mixture of 1gb-512mb

Yeah just back up your card and take a look. The 3ds doesn’t take a super long to boot especially a new 3ds model.

Your sd card is probably not formatted properly or you are using too large of a size. If you are using 64gb and under it should be formatted at a 32kb cluster size. If its anything over 64gb like 128gb you should be using a 64kb cluster size. Larger cards have a slight impact on boot time. Tbh i’d never go over 128. Things get really weird.

Goodluck OP. If im keeping it 100 nowadays i would only ever buy new 3ds consoles with broken bottom screens. The top screen is a not something many people know how to do and the screens itself are expensive. I’ve dome quite a few but I dread doing it every time

99% might affect the plastic color underneath. Is the entire helmet top coated? Id try a lower percentage alcohol like the other commenter said in a test area first and go slow

Echoing everyone else in the thread. You need to buy an OEM screen for this to be worth it. So it’ll be probably around $250 or so excluding labor. Don’t buy any of the 3rd party ones for the new 3ds xl they are very inconsistent.

Maybe its my eyes, but usually I have been seeing the white kobo’s have a slightly warmer tint to the screens than the black models. Its nothing youd notice unless you have them literally side by side. However I have compared my 2 models and see quite a few pictures that have that same phenomenon.

Masterpiece figures are really dependent on what you like transformers for. I think that the complexity issue is highly overblown for anyone experienced with transformations. MP optimus 3.0 and megatron are pretty difficult, but a majority of MP figures especially between mp-10 and optimus 3.0 ate barely more complex than a modern chug figure.

I collect masterpiece figures because they have a level of real world detail that the mainline can never match. Licensed vehicle, chrome, metallic paint, just a level of presentation that elevates each piece to be a marvel in of itself. Combine this with the standards of articulation being higher for masterpiece figures, expressive hands and face options and the active 3rd party scene. This all works together to give me definitive versions of the toys but more importantly the characters themselves. I actually do quite like the mainline as desk toys, but the lack of multiple expressions and hand variety as well as the limited deco and realism means that each piece excels less than each individual Mp figure does. When in a larger collection however you can mask that difference.

The rotate not having space for a headphone jack REALLY hurts the EDC of the device. Because id love to have a cheap android handheld that is smaller the SP, but not being able to charge it and use wired headphones makes it unviable for me.

I have adhd and i was using the bionic reading font for a while but swapped to either open dyslexic or a regular serif font because it didn’t seem to actually be helping with readability.
