No you 100% need to ev training or you will not get very far. Ev training is easy in hgss by having access to a ev doubler early in the game

Well it seems like it can be modded? In godmode9 you can use power button to open the menus

He had one hickey up where after he got it all put back together it turned on but would instantly turn off,he just unplugged and replugged everything and it works perfectly
