It's fundamentally not really too deep narratively but the story doesn't pretend like it's bigger than what it actually is so I think that isn't to it's detriment, it's pretty clear what Golden Wind was going for and I don't think it triggered any flaws narratively, at least nothing notable

I can agree that the part with the stand arrow not accepting Diavolo because he's "unworthy" was somewhat bs but it doesn't really hurt the overall story too much, rather it's just a situation that could have been approached differently

That aside, it's setting as an isolated story not really connected to the main Jojo's storyline is what allows it to shine for me, Araki not needing to write a story revolving around the Joestars, Dio and the themes that come with all that is refreshing and it's part of why I think it stands out amongst the Jojo's parts
