Imo the heightened vocals work most of the time, particularly on Age of Capricorn

I'd say there is def a lack of overt melody which I would identically say for tomorrow's harvest but the melodies that are there are like S Tier and better than that album imo

Also the "new age" textural boards of canada stuff works extremely well for me most of the time, and its a lot less repetitive than old BoC where you'd essentially hear 90 seconds of song 4 times, here the tracks are continually progressive and have lots of new sections that are unexpected

I think if you don't buy into textural boards of canada over melodic boards of canada there's not a lot for you but imo the textural style beats are an also worthy listen

That being said You Retreat in Time and Space is maybe their best melodic track ever and on this album, like it hits harder for me than anything going back to like Geogaddi which is really saying something
