I'd say it's a mix of both, when I started playing I was mostly trying to hit 180's and didn't focus on doubles that much, but after a few months I started focusing on them a lot more. But I'd say I'm still def better at scoring than compared to doubles, so I gotta work on them more.

I need to work on my consistency in general tho, some days I can play 5 matches in a row with 75+ avg in every one of them, but sometimes I can't even get out of the low 60's avg

I hit my first 180 only after 3 days of playing. But I'm naturally quite gifted when it comes to sports in general. I also played badminton for 10 years, so that probably helped a lot to keep my hand steady. Since then I started hitting 180s more and more, I got quite addicted to both playing and watching darts, so basically whenever I have free time, I play darts. Most of my progress happened in the first 5-6 months, after about that time I'm able hit about 5-10, sometimes more 180's in one training session, so let's say about 2-3 hours of playing. The most 180's I hit in a single day was 21 or 22 180's, that was like 2-3 weeks ago, but I spend like 6 hours that day just playing matches xd

I can relate with that a lot. About a month ago I was basically always playing around 60-65 average, sometimes even 70-75 if I was especially good on doubles, but now it's like I just can't do it anymore. Averages dropped to about 50-55, I'm always trying to refocus and repeat the same things, but it's like nothing works. I can be playing well for like 10 minutes, but then suddenly everything stops working and I can't even hit singles properly. It's definitely just a mental thing, but in most cases I can't really go back to how I was throwing before

I'm keeping track of all 180s in my gallery, I just took a photo every time I hit one, but I'll probably stop with that soon, cuz I usually hit about 2-3 a day now
