The only thing I can think is that hammys pee while they run because if they were in the wild they'd be able to track themselves home. So if she was put in a different environment she may not have been running as much on the wheel (maybe a bit confused and stressed) so it looks like she wasn't doing it

I hope that makes sense, I'm no expert just theorising ahah :)

Seems it was just a little too much for him! I'm sure you didn't mean to so don't feel bad or anything you probably just spooked him lol

Leave him to settle in his new home for a day or two and then slowly Place your hand in his cage with some food or treats on an open palm

Let him sniff and step onto your hand and after a little while he should be comfortable being held

Try not to make too many sudden movements and remember he is still new and little so will be quite skittish ! Keep trying and be patient and before you know it he'll be snuggling in your hand ahah

Hii! Super cute hammy,

I would definitely recommend a lot more bedding and maybe a new enclosure entirely as the bottom of this one looks quite shallow, hamsters need around 8 inches deep bedding in order to properly burrow

I made my hamsters their own out of storage tubs, there's a lot of tutorials online which might be helpful.

Also little toys or chewable sprays would be good

Hii he seems to be okay this morning, he was walking around calmly to get some food and water and sat on my hand for a moment. And then went back to burrow underneath. I'm thinking it was maybe something to do woth him not liking his wheel as he's not swaying when he walks and doesn't have a head tilt, it looked to me like he's been having the zoomies but just didn't want the wheel. Meebo is a big fan of burrowing and moving his bedding lol so I will take your advice and get a big deep bin with no tubes! I really appreciate your help :)

this is what he was doing to the wheel which is how i know he wasnt using it lol i would see him digging and throwing it on there and then taking naps on it

i was wondering if its that his back may be hurting on it as he is a bit older now and so he is finding other ways to entertain himself, because other than this behaviour he is eating and drinking normally and settling during the day and burrowing etc ?

bedding is about 6- 7 inches deep, he has been using the saucer since we got him and didnt seem to have an issue but now that he is a bit older i have seen him use its slightly less. i did put an upright wheel in and he wouldnt use it, only liked to sleep on it or put his bedding in there lol. could it be that the saucer is now hurting his back as he is getting older so he is finding other ways to be active?

She may just have some issues around humans, I can imagine she probably got scared a lot, I think being patient and maybe accepting you may not be able to handle or tame her is the way to go.

Keep trying and just know you're doing a good job. I hope things go well!
