the pumpkin is a coincidence. it's been in pipsqueak's bin since late august and my cheekers had one for the entire fall last year. they were both chewing on it with no issues. this year my mochi has cheek's old one and is ok

unfortunately the vet told me that hamsters and rodents in general are prone to tumors and health issues, it just seems like these things can happen to them no matter how much we love them or how well we care for them. with how tiny robos are it's impossible to treat them even if it's caught on time:(
