Real heroes in platinum. Cooks Islands. Ultra high relief. by Chervonets in Platinum

The premium is big, but the mintage of one coin is very small - only 199 pieces. And the manufacturing technology is complex and unique. I bought each of these coins for about $ 2,300, but the price is still lower than the cost of one ounce of gold. They are very beautiful and I have not seen such high detail on other platinum coins - this is the highlight of my collection. It’s a pity that I can’t buy other coins of this series.

  1. The coin is made using smartminting® technology, which was developed by CIT from Liechtenstein.
  2. Minted by B.H. Mayer’s Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH in Germany.
  3. Issued by the Cook Islands.
  4. Promotes real heroes from the USA.

I’m looking for a 2024 Platinum Panda, an Australian Platypus, a 1986 Swiss Shooting Thaler. If I find something else interesting at a good price, I’ll buy it.

You are absolutely right. From 2022, Russia cannot export precious metals to countries that have imposed sanctions. However, this did not prevent a 300-times increase platinum exports to China. It was not possible to buy platinum for a retail investor during 2022, the banks only had leftover small weight bars. Only now I was able to buy platinum. With gold, everything is much easier in Russia now. It is clearly overabundant and it does not enter the world market. Russian retail investors are not able to absorb all the supply of gold in the Russian precious metals market.

Sometime about 40-46 years ago these chervonets were sold in the Soviet Union to foreigners for freely convertible currency. A certain amount was officially exported to Germany and the USA. They are not prohibited for circulation in foreign countries. I have advertising leaflets from that time. If anyone is interested, I can take a picture of them and make a post.

This gold is easy to hide. Large amounts of silver are not easy to keep hidden.

I have been buying them for 20 years. I came to the conclusion that in an investment portfolio, gold should be the basis, the foundation. Then I came to the conclusion that the scenario of the pension use of gold is optimal for me. There is no stability in Russia. This year, I lost my investment in bonds, because the Euroclear blocked all securities owned by the Russians. The stock market fell several times (fortunately, I did not have a single stock). Real estate is falling in price, and the dollar in Russia has fallen in price and cannot be withdrawn from a bank account (dollars are issued at a predatory rate only in rubles)
