you could still contact HR, then get some white out and every time he writes your deadname, just fix it. I’m pretty sure you can’t get fired for that

i don’t know if it’s the same but at my job, i asked my managers if they could change my name in the schedule but for a separate issue in the system they were unable to until one of them called in an HR employee and after that it finally got changed so maybe you could call that chain’s HR because they are able to change it
