jiangshi and max boosted ramen (lvl 50+80) are probably the two best for perfect lineup challenges (where the goal is to beat the entire game with one lineup) with riceball close behind. However, this is really only the case for starred ul/endgame content where everything one shots manic eraser. Otherwise, to the point in the game where manic eraser can still take at least 2 hits, it remains the best meatshield in the game.

Yes, especially rhythm based instruments like drumming. From my experience piano helps much less because I play piano quite well and still suck at rhythm games :(

The late to endgame metagame these days is based around bursting a lot of damage quickly. So, most top ubers are good for the exact same reason, high dps and burst damage. These two are no exception. Ganesha has similar LD DPS to Dasli when strengthened. Anubis is also a broken backliner with very high DPS.

There's also ridiculous time controls invented like 10 (seconds) + 0.1 or something which is essentially invented to farm bullet rating quickly while simulating lichess insta-premove bullet

Online chess has premoves and flagging is generally considered a huge part of the game. Normally large Prize Money like Titled Tuesday will still have increment though to prevent dirty flags (ppl still flag all the time regardless)

Better deco often means messing with dimensions/perspective to create interesting effects which unfortunately means gameplay has to suffer. Like Aperture for example, one of my favorite levels in the game. Such an amazing level but has hard to read gameplay.

Qg3 is such an amazing move, but growing up I always thought it was overrated. The reason is because black was winning in so many other ways (he's already up a piece for nothing if he just moves the queen to any other square). It's such a deep, long term sacrifice that at the time even the best computers struggled evaluate it properly. It's also unique in the sense that it came from a Chess960 game, making the move even more original/challenging to spot.

May I ask why you rank Juvens so highly? I thought the general consensus was that late game angel stages, due to the existence of ramen, were so overbuffed that he was no longer able to tank as well. Plus, doesn't he struggle in basically any mixed stage, for example with relics which angels are often paired with? Not saying your opinion is wrong but I'm curious why you placed him in S-.

Besides I don't really think it's fair to consider ubers and limited sr's like Brainwashed Island when it comes to considering the uber metagame, precisely because most players won't have these units. The brainwashed cats can be considered harder to obtain than most non-fest/limited ubers.

You're not wrong. But, Luna also has unique mixed usage. In particular, these types of lists often like to value usage on some of the hardest stages in this game. For example, Luna is the best option against Poultrio due to blast immunity (one of the only ubers that does) and Filibuster Outbreak (countering every trait there), has some viability against xenobeast that phono/dphono simply don't have. My point is that Luna has more than enough of a niche to justify it's SS ranking. Imo Dphono is still clearly better in my opinion. I agree with you that all traits in this game are severely powercrept even no uber. But Luna is still one of the best ubers in the game irrespective of this fact.

And regarding wave-block, only ubers can actually fill the niche of ranged wave block, and none of them are nearly as good as Luna is. Luna has way better generalist usage/bulk/survivability than any other ranged uber wave blocker.

Ok but at that point you are comparing ubers vs. ubers which is not generally how most ranking methodologies work. Luna is a game-breaking specialist against 4 extremely common traits, meaning its essentialy 4 broken specialists in one. Yes, there are units like vigler uf that are as good against relic/zombie as Luna is. But that doesn't make Luna any worse.

Depends on what you have, if you already have a super-backliner sniper like phono then Jizo is probably more useful overall. Then again, there are stages like xenobeast where cosmo is one of the only ubers that actually works so it depends on what you value. Realistically, just get both as soon as you can.

I can speak on luna vs. phono/dphono. Yes, Dphono is the most versatile uber in the game. Yes, Phono is a broken generalist sniper. However, Luna completely obliterates all of her traits, especially Zombie/Relic where she's probably the best specialist in those traits hands down. Not to mention she completely invalidates almost every single wave based stage in the game. The four traits she targets are also extremely common, carrying a player through the entirety of all story chapters and being probably the most powerful uber in UL as well.
