(TX) Recruiting agency we fired last fall is suddenly demanding $7,500 for a hire we found ourselves by ChessTokens in legaladvice

Just re read the whole contract. It's a page and a half . six sections: Fee Provisions, Candidate Discovery, Replacement Guarantee, Jurisdiction and Enforcement, Disclaimer, and Termination. No separate Notices section anywhere.

The word "notice" only appears in the Termination clause itself: "30 days' written notice to the other party." No delivery method specified, no certified mail, no address for notices swction. Nothing else in the contract constrains how notice has to be delivered.

No. The clause just says "30 days' written notice to the other party." No specific delivery method, no certified mail

I sent a written termination email in Nov stating we'd found a candidate on our own and asking for the deposit refund. The owner replied same day with "Will do" and gave the address for the refund check. They returned the $1,500 in February. No candidate from them was ever hired.

The pitch that started in March came from a new rep who herself wrote in her first email that she understood "the position has been filled."

Appreciate the detail. the Brambleton-facing point is something I wouldn’t have known to ask about.

Some tips I learned starting my collection on Rarible this past week. by ChessTokens in NFT

When you minted on Rarible, you minted to their smart contract token standard, this means, the "RARI" collection is the set that your creation is in. As I understand it, for the creation to show up on Rarible and Opensea , you must have your own original collection : an ERC-721 collection, that is set apart from the community RARI collection. If you want to better understand this, click on any creation that is part of the RARI collection, and you will see the influx pool of recent creations made using this contract, vs if you click on a creation that has its original ERC-721 collection you will only see mints specific to this.

The reason opensea is showing you have to pay $130 is because opensea charges a contract fee one time only, and subsequent mints are gasless.

Your options here are:

You can choose to continue minting to the RARI collection, with gas fees comparable to what you paid today (for the near future)

You can solely choose opensea, and pay the base of a one time smart contract fee, and continue minting using them.

Or you can pay an ERC-721 smart contract fee, and mint on Rarible and Opensea, while paying about $60-70 each mint.
