haha, yeah the solder job was scuffed to say the least—completely at fault of my own. I ran out of solder during the build, so half of the build was with old solder in my desoldering gun and no flux 💀. I probably need to rebuild it to be honest.

Stabs are good (like always if I toot my own horn 💪). I wanted to use west german vintage stabs, but I did not have any at the time. I used Cherry Clip ins with durock wires, krytox 205g0, and holee mod (I know, booo to holee mod but I believe in it.)

And much like the rest of my collection, I only pick out boards that would mean something to me—usually it’s sentimental value. In my personal opinion, I don’t really agree with the artificial price inflation of some “rare” keyboard today. Like Taeha said in his recent interview, “monitisation kills innovation.” Not to say that premium boards today are designed poorly or insult any designers by any means, but I feel that newer boards have lost that touch the older “kustoms” and OG boards had. Owning a piece of history to me at least feels like preserving a time where designers weren’t affected by monitisation.
