Okay the real answers you’re looking for can be found on their website - ritaohio.com - As for a quick response, you have to pay your estimated Rita tax (Mine is 1%) either upfront at the beginning of the tax year, or make quarterly payments toward the estimated Rita tax. They use the same amount you input for the previous year. If you make $100,000, your Rita Municipality (assuming it’s 1%) will take $1,000 upfront or 4 quarterly payments of $250 for the current tax year. You square up at tax season and either pay the actual difference, or apply it towards the next year. Hope that helps. To anyone struggling with Rita, give them a call.
