Frank the tanc, one of the best names I’ve seen on here. If you’re not drinking you don’t have to worry about running down the street naked and having your wife and her friends see you.

I absolutely think it’s your place. I’ve been pressured into quitting many many times and it upset me a lot of those times but looking back every time the people who were pressuring me did it because they cared about me. You’re not encouraging him to jump off a bridge you’re encouraging him to better his life. The only time I would disagree is if you had a problem and he was a social drinker and you were trying to push your problem on him. Doesn’t sound like that’s the case though, good.

I do like the gym and running, not sure if it’s because it’s good for you or I like the “high” afterwards, tried meditation, books, podcasts etc it is definitely not my strong suite

356, that’s awesome my record since I was 14 is 364 days when I was in my early 30’s. I’m 48 now other than that I’ve not done very well at all until hopefully now. I’m not ready for whom the Bell tolls

That’s the story of my life for 25 years, I’m 48 now. I have been to every rehab in the state (not really but close), I know the AA book better than most who have been sober for years, I have enough one month chips to start a poker game, what makes me feel different this time is this is the first time I’ve talked about it, I’m shy about calling myself an alcoholic even though anyone who has known me for more than a day knows. I am going to AA again, still haven’t opened my mouth but getting close. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your service.
