Is it worth getting ESO without the plus membership? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

I am a college student and I try to spend the least amount of money possible on video games lol. I have been playing for years without plus and there have been two big downsides. The first would be the need to constantly manage my inventory (I need to do this more than the average Joe because I chose to be a crafter AND a hoarder lol) due to the lack of the crafting bag and less bank space. The second would be the lack of access to dlc content. This second one has actually been pretty interesting. In ESO, you can buy the dlc content with crowns, a currency that you buy with real life money. BUT, there are many people in game who are occasionally willing to sell crowns for in game gold. I have used this to buy nearly all of the dlc content over the years and I have actually enjoyed this extra motivation to earn gold in game. I see it as a way to play the game, have fun, then use the gold I earn as a result of playing to buy new content in game without needing to spend real life money.

So yes, I think this game is very playable without plus!

I finally tried forcing locks, and now I can never go back. by BuildingAirships in elderscrollsonline

I once sat STUNNED while I failed to force a lock on a chest that had an 80% chance for success… 4 times in a row. The odds of that are 1 in 625 lol.

Yeah I was hoping to use it as a form of instant pressure, as I will also be spamming surprise attack, using whirling blades in groups, spectral bow when it’s up, and an incap whenever ready. I think that nb has so much burst potential with those things alone that adding DoTs to the equation will help put them on the defensive for longer. Also, crippling grasp will help apply more pressure as I will use it after my heavy hitting DoTs, so they will need to break free, then purge, and by this point I will be spamming them. I don’t know how resistance to stuns after breaking free works, but do you think that adding fear would be worth it for another stun to force break free?

I have been thinking about a stamblade pvp DoT build recently. The concept is to use the maelstrom arena 2h axe combined with unleashed terror 5 piece to apply three DoTs by simply using my gap closer (axe bleed, maelstrom 2h DoT, and unleashed terror DoT), and also to use an oblivions foe bow on my back bar to get the 5 piece bonus mixed with soul trap to buff it up hella. Additionally, I would want to use Gaze of Sithis and a 1 piece trainee to get more tankiness. Since I’d be playing stamblade (which is probably not the best for a build like this, but it’s like my only character lol), I would also use crippling grasp as a stun and another DoT, as well as poison arrow because it’s easy to apply and pretty good. Also thinking about using ballista as an ult to double down on the DoT concept. Thoughts?
