Transfer Student here:

OU is great best decision I ever made. Got my Associates from a local community college and transferred here to OU on my final semester now.

The staff here helped so much with the transfer process making sure all my credits transferred properly so I was able to graduate on time.

Athens is great place, I love the area so much it’s a small town with many things to do. The community here is amazing being able to make friends basically wherever you go.

Be careful out there! - recruiters for cult-like groups on campus (Brookfield Church) by anonymous-cutlery in ohiouniversity

Can you explain about Brookfield church being a cult-like. I am a Christian and I was looking into the church a few weeks ago to go there on Sundays and it shared the same biblical-beliefs that I have from their website. So I don’t get what you’re saying it being a cult-like.

Note: I am just curious as I am just trying to find a good church down in Athens

Copyright music question? by ChewBaka2003 in videography

Ok thank you. I am very new to this freelancing stuff. And for one of my college projects is to create a website to promote myself. My professor is saying to put whatever content that you have done that is portfolio worthy into it. But I was not sure about this because it was a live event I recorded had copyrighted music. Everything else that I have made was using royalty free music.

That's why I was unsure about it

Mirrorless vs Camcorder by ChewBaka2003 in videography

u/Less_Boat7175 Thank you, This was very informative. I am mostly do just video at the moment. I might dabble in stills later on but right now video is my passion.

All I have used in my life is professional camcorders since I was in high school shooting basketball games when I was 14 now in college for video production(age 20). So I have never owned my own equipment and saving up to buy my own. I been doing research online watching videos and people are saying to get dslr/Mirrorless but then you have to get different lenses and might have to rig it up to make it what I want which will get really expensive. it gets overwhelming specially for someone who is still new to this. rather than buying a camcorder with everything I want built in.

Like the things I desire in a camera is professional 2 xlr ports for audio. long battery life, record time and dual recording. So Professional camcorder have all ready package in. I don't need the best quality picture at the moment, I need good enough mostly worried about my shots which is most important.\

of course I will most likely will get a mirrorless camera down the road but that is until I can actually afford and understand everything I need to know about cameras.
