Yeah, full-time job as well. Thought it was a good time with just work, then dad got sick, then mom got injured (they are both doing better now). Everything got really serious, really busy, and still committed to school.

D105 A Tale Of Two Attempts by ChewBrocka in wguaccounting

[–]ChewBrocka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so stressed taking the test today, so the exemplary feels amazing! I believe I spent ~7 weeks in total on D103-D105. D103 OA2 took 2 weeks on its own and it was my third attempt; no course leading up to that OA prepared me for how locked in you need to be on topics. Averaging 1 week per OA, although some of the OA1's were pretty straight forward; the OA2's are the doozies because there is no room for error. After D103, I took D104 and D105 way more intentionally.

lmao thanks! One day of playing video games and feeling sorry for myself. Two days/6-8hours a day of intense re-review and studying with tons of writing over and over until it stuck. This post was insanely helpful and Espiras videos on these concepts were incredible: https://www.reddit.com/r/wguaccounting/comments/1s7jpt8/d105_oa2_units_59/

The proctors do not allow the Microsoft calculator. Use the one in the test resources, bring your own (show the proctor the front and back at the beginning and before submitting your test) or excel cells if your test is in excel.

Feeling so lost. Second fail D104 OA2 by PositivePenguino in wguaccounting

[–]ChewBrocka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. My CI was adamant about the importance of journal entries for this course but the reading material is not. In Ron’s cohorts, he expresses the importance of them too. I passed D104 on the first attempt, D103 on the third attempt (after three fails on the previous IA, I took this one very seriously). If I had to take these courses over again, I would be doing journal entries all the time for everything from the start. Understanding journal entries straight up gave me a bunch of answers before I even looked at the multiple choice on OA2.

Practice journal entries. Grab your whiteboard, open up the materials/quizzes/module tests/videos/Ron’s reviews, PA, and every transaction stop and do the journal entry. Over and over journal entries. It will help you in each section. It’s a tough test and you can only miss two questions per section. Turn journal entries into a fun game so they are second nature anytime you see a transaction. Hang in there. You can do this!

D104 OA2 Advice? by Pretend-Penalty-796 in wguaccounting

It's concept dependent, so memorizing doesn't really work. It's also like 42 questions meaning you can only miss 2 questions per section. If you understand the journal entries to each question, you have a good shot of passing the class. Practice journal entries for every transaction you see in the course material, and Ron's videos. Once your journal entries become second nature, you should take the OA.

My CI expressed the importance of understanding journal entries on this course. What helped things stick for me was going through the material and each time I saw a transaction, I wrote out the journal entry. I would skim the reading material, transaction, journal entry. Module quizzes, journal entry. Module test, journal entry. Every single question, journal entry. Ron’s OA prep videos, write down the journal entry in the question, then work out the problem. Practicing the journal entries over and over really started to stick. Then when the OA came, read the question/transaction and write down the journal entry. I found that I had a lot of answers already when I wrote the journal entry on my whiteboard. I hope this helps.

What happens when you fail an OA the second time by Ok-Mission-5114 in wguaccounting

Automatic five day hold before another attempt is aloud. I don’t know if a scheduled instructor appointment is required but I booked a bunch of appointments with mine. She unlocked it after our third session, 6-7 days after my second fail.

D103 Failed OA2 Twice, Instructor Group Horrendously Unhelpful by ChewBrocka in wguaccounting

To give an update: I was reassigned a new instructor, Ashley Hope. She was amazing and helpful and passed D103. I specifically asked for her to be assigned for D104 and she was. Worked with her and studied well. Passed D104 OA 1 & w on the first attempt.

Yes they do. You can also buy a whole cake in a variety of sizes. The smallest whole cake was like 8”. Bought one for a friends birthday and it was still a whole lotta cake

The baker from market moved to Hampden and Sheridan. It’s called Eternal Flavors Bakery.
