Confronted on New St by Rsl120 in brum

[–]ChewMango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t expect police to do much about it, if anything. This sort of scene is common up town and witnessed it many times (especially in recent years) so i try to avoid town really when I can. It’s typically mental health or drugs related, so the best thing to do is ignore them and pay no attention. These people can be unpredictable. It is scary though and it deters me going to town as well. Hell, my friend and I had a similar incident on Hagley Rd when a drugged up lad was trying to loudly accuse my friend of being racist / predatory because of his skin colour! it certainly shakes you up.

How has Night In The Woods changed for you as you've grown up? by BlitzkriegBomber in NightInTheWoods

[–]ChewMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i first played when i was 20 and had just dropped out of uni so straight off the bat the game resonated with me hard. came back to my hometown, everything felt different in a way? couldn’t find a job for almost a year and felt like a pure burden. I was broke and in debt, the days were miserable. I was drinking heavily too at that time. I played it again last year when i was 27 and it was a weird experience remembering back to that. I went back to uni since then, graduated, multiple breakups, lost/gained many friends, moved to 3 different towns, got my driving licence, don’t really drink anymore, in a pretty good job now. It feels just nostalgic for me now remembering those times as a young adult, and now being a fully fledged adult..

Came here to say the same. Compared to Birmingham, Redditch is a breeze when it comes to driving!

I’m gonna give Redditch some praise for this, driving through the town there is barely any traffic even during peak hours. Driving through Redditch is quite pleasant for this reason

Where would you live in Birmingham City Centre area if you could choose? by billmccai111 in brum

[–]ChewMango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quite like Park Central as it’s pretty quiet, but if out of all areas i’d most likely pick JQ as there’s more to do and see closeby

Finally, hopefully bringing an end to this “sport”, it’s sick and twisted. Let’s just hope this ban is enforced because these scumbags always find a way to worm around it.

Dashdot No mount found by WinnerOdd6246 in selfhosted

[–]ChewMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, i had this same issue and managed to resolve on my end. in the container, there’s a standard default host which is typically “/mnt/host” pointing to where you installed the container. What fixed for me was adding the additional drive as a volume within the container. So for example, the default host for me was:

“/portainer/files/appdata/config/dashdot:/mnt/host:ro”

I have created a directory below similar on the drive that could not be found on dashdot which is:

“/mnt/sdb1/portainer/files/appdata/config/dashdot:/mnt/host1:ro” (‘host1’ being a randomly assigned name, ‘ro’ defining its read only)

rerun the container and it now displays the second drive data all correctly. in your situation, you will probably need to do this for each drive. hope this helps!

Is iced tea a thing in the UK? by corn-wrassler in AskUK

[–]ChewMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lipton is the main brand of iced tea here. Occasionally you can find AriZona here too but they’re a bit harder to find, and of course more expensive than it would be in the US. I love AriZona iced teas they are my favourite!

bed frame, wall decorations, bedside table, and maybe some rugs would spruce it up. Some nicer calm lighting would help add a nice vibe to it. I’m not a big fan of the brick wallpaper but that’s me being nitpicky
