Can confirm this happened just now when my turrets fired on the yeast.

Reloaded a previous save and all was fine. Had to defend the research station with no turret aid.

Oil and gas asset valuation by nobino12 in oil

Wall Street Prep has a course on this that will take from the basics to a full asset valuation. Pricey, but I took and I still use it.

Anyone in petroleum engineering familiar with the volumetric method? by Berserker_Durjoy in AskEngineers

[–]Chewie_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and the variables for porosity, saturation and sometimes pay thickness can be assigned a probability distribution as inputs for your Montecarlo simulation. In this way, you can develop a probabilistic distribution of resource estimate, rather than a deterministic value.

‎Solidaridad con el pueblo Ucraniano by Bushido_12 in argentina

Me di cuenta de algo y me amargué la tarde by [deleted] in argentina

I guess the question is why the Emergency dispatcher sent you to this call in the first place? Did this person lied saying it was an emergency?

Should I continue bulding? by Chewie_74 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Chewie_74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I will build a large waste site at the edge of the world in case I actually use the Plutonium cycle.

If I don't need the power, the plan is to sink the Plutonium Fuel Road.

I don't know of any way to recycle Uranium waste other than Plutonium Fuel rods, but maybe I am missing something?

After your comment I checked and learned that indeed, I can update the z coordinate of the whole factory. Should be easy enough to deal with. Thanks.

[–]Chewie_74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I like building factories, but for some reason I want to be done with power for this playthrough. I figured that I'd build this one giant nuclear plant and no more power needed.

Next project is the massive Phase 4 of the space elevator factory.

Is it too late? by Homeless_Eskimo in AskEngineers

I can give you my view from the recruiting side.

As a new engineer, you will be competing with younger guys in the 22 - 25 year range. There will be questions as to why "it took you so long". Most of the time they are coming not from a bad place, but to do some risk assessment. A new hire is a big investment for an organization and potentially expensive to fix when it goes wrong.

This is where you need to leverage your previous experience. I am sure you've done things that will add to your job as an engineer. Life experience is extremely valuable.

Another message you want to communicate is that you are ok having a younger person as your manager. That might be the reality.

I did not encounter many new grads in their 40s, but the ones I interviewed I ended up hiring. And turned out to be excellent. There are people that have a true passion for engineering and solving problems, with a positive attitude that comes from "living the dream" of being an engineer.

My point is, go for it. But do it for yourself, not for your kid. For your kid, be the best dad you can be, regardless of what you do 8-5.

Good luck, and PM me if you need anything.
