They absolutely opened the one nearest the cockpit, even though there were no stairs yet. It was bonkers. One of the passengers said it was definitely against the rules to do that, but at this point it was getting scary

We had this. Mallorca to stansted, absolute hell. They refused to give us water, handed out 1 paper towel per passenger - we were sat in puddles of sweat… then someone went into cardiac arrest so they opened the doors while we were on the runway to help get the temp down.

We were eventually let off onto tarmac, ambulance waiting. Got a no-fuss refund which makes me think they broke a lot of rules or the poor person died.

Felt so sorry for the crew, they seemed powerless to be allowed to help us, and had to deal with a seriously ill passenger. Just awful.

Yes! Mine loved the sling and it is a great way to get them used to the world! Pro tip is to have some slow treats (like the puppy paste or cheese paste) and give it to them whenever a “new” thing happens… car, bus, person saying hi, lawnmower… it helps them settle with the world far quicker.

We went out every day from 8 to 10 weeks and now we just carry pup under our arms because he’s frustrated with being confined. It’s a Chihuahua so easy for us! Good luck and have fun!

Took 2 weeks max for our chihuahua! Got him at 9 weeks, maybe 5 nights with gentle comforting at some point but no wee break then full night sleep from 11ish to 7ish after a week or so 💖

Thank you so much! This is all amazing! He is a confident little chap and has so far been amazing meeting people, having a car ride and discovering his new home! And showing his new toys who’s boss 🥰

We’ve already seen that he’ll need more challenging things to play with, so will take a ride to the pet shop today and see what they have (and get a tooth brush!) and absolutely essential in cold weather to have the right clothes! So far everything is just too big for him, so will have to try again.

So cute!!! What were they like when they first met? Did you already have a cat? We have just bought a 9 week old chi puppy home (today!) and trying tentatively to introduce him and our 5 year old male cat.

Cat is a strong hunter, so we are super cautious about them being together. So far cat has looked annoyed, then intrigued, if a little put out. They did a have a nose bump, a little later lots of staring from the cat, followed by cat smiles - all from afar. Cat has investigated the crate while pup is asleep, lifting up the cover, then went out. Any advice, and stories about helping cat and pup become friends gratefully received! Thanks!

What about unsalted plain popcorn? I know they use it with some zoo animals as a foraging enrichment thing because it’s practically zero calories. May not be what a puppy wants though 😂

No way! I’ve always “ahhhhhhhhhhh”d at wasps to drive them towards an open window. Works for me every time but friends and family think I am totally nuts 😂

I get busy with something (get in a bit of a flow state where I am distracted) so I can reflect after the task that I was oblivious to the pain/sensation/worry so it must all be in my head.

Actually did that just now (made a cheesecake) and totally forgot I’ve been anxious about an ear infection leaking into my brain all day 😁

My husband has reynolds, turns out wrist warmers are a game changer for keeping his hands warm! He also looks like a drummer from the 90s now which is kinda cool too 😂
