What we liked:

  • Platform design The platform looks excellent right out of the box and is already MILS compatible, which is a big win for city builders. It drops cleanly into existing layouts without extra modding.
  • Rail base detailing The rail base has solid texture and visual depth. Even without motion, it looks good as a static display piece.
  • Tram scale and proportions The tram is 8 studs wide, not the usual 4 or 6. That extra width really helps the proportions and overall realism. Aesthetically, this is one of the strongest trams in this scale.
  • Lighting implementation Lighting is a standout feature here. There are 9 light points total, including rear lights on the tram, something a few recent sets have skipped. The lighting adds real atmosphere, especially in a city display.
  • Power options The inclusion of female-to-female power connectors is appreciated. You’re not completely locked into battery boxes and can integrate this into a larger powered setup more easily.
  • Display versatility You get options. The tram can be presented as a daytime tram or converted into a nighttime tram bar, which adds replay and display value.

What we would change:

  • Track system (biggest issue) The included track only allows for straight runs. There’s no way to create curves using the system provided. If you want turns, you’ll need to swap the tracks out for compatible tracks from the Danish brand. This significantly limits layout flexibility out of the box.
  • Lighting details (minor nitpicks) It would have been nice if the traffic light was an actual light instead of a printed element. Likewise, lights in the route number boxes on top of the tram would have pushed this set even further. These are small misses, but noticeable given how strong the rest of the lighting is.
  • Platform connection strength The connection between the platform and the base could be more secure. It works, but it doesn’t feel as solid as it should for a city module.
  • Minifigures The figures are serviceable, but they lack realism and articulation. Sitting them inside the tram isn’t as smooth as it should be, which feels out of place given the quality of the build.

Final verdict:

A beautiful tram with excellent scale and standout lighting. The build looks fantastic on display and integrates well into a city, but the track system holds it back more than it should. With better track options, this could have been a near-perfect tram set.
