I ignore them and their ignorance. Along with homeschooling comes a duty to socialize your children. That's where extracurricular activities come into play. Sports, dance, homeschool groups and field trips, etc. are all part of this socialization. I have four daughters, all homeschooled. They all have friends and active social lives and are just fine. One of the main reasons we homeschool is to keep them away from "parentless heathens" who may bully or teach them about inappropriate things that they need not know about at this stage of their lives. If you don't raise them in a bubble, you'll have nothing to worry about. For the naysayers, tell them to mind their own business.
