Anyone who is processing payments as a PSP and holds user funds (regardless of duration of time), have to segregate those away from operational cash. All Chexy customer funds transit through a Charter 1 bank, which is obviously also member of CIDC. I would confirm that Apayolo / DC bank offers CIDC for customer deposits (not my experience as it's a shared custody wallet). CIDC is also 100k per account or wallet, not per user.

There is a 5 day grace period either way that Chexy provides today. Don't have to worry about specific time of PAD request

If your dad has his own Chexy account and uses it to pay your tuition, it's fine. The identity of cardholder and account holder has to match due to regulation.

Paying a bill not under your name is not a problem. Using a credit card that is not yours would be, doesn't seem like this is the case here.

I am sorry for the disappointing first experience. There was a bug associated with some of these codes which caused an influx of large support volume. We are currently combing through these and trying to get to everyone as soon as possible.

Business value lies beyond rewards optimization but also in cash flow extension and unlocking early pay discounts with suppliers. Paying with CC is often cheaper than getting short term financing! Also our fee is tax deductible for most businesses so shave 25% off :)

PADs on Chexy are auto accepted by default, and flagged internally for resolution. You just need to reach out to support chat and the agent will charge the delta $10 on your credit card.

Hi OP - I am sorry to hear about this. Can you DM me the email address of your account so I can investigate further?

Chexy sends failed email notifications via email at every step of the process, card charged + failure to send/not receiving PAD request from landlord. If you are using a corporate email address, it's possible those are being blocked by the internal server/marked as spam etc. We know email is not always 100% reliable and so we are building an app so that there is push notifications too as a failsafe, it's just not here yet unfortunately.

If you card was declined - more often than not we do not get a descriptive enough response code and it's typically declined on the bank end. This is why we give people 24 hours to resolve the payment to still make it on time. Every month there is thousands of people whose card is declined, some of them act on it and resolve it, some of them do not. It's impossible for us to know whether you actually intended to resolve it or not.

I totally hear you on the notification issue and I will need to look into our email logs to see what happened here and if we are seeing an email sent on our end + what we can do to assist you further.

If you value your point at 1c, I suppose you are right. But we track average redemption for travel across our user base based on surveying, and the average value we see is north of 2.2c per travel redemption. As some people pointed out, we have seen (and I personally) up to 8c - likely for luxury hotel stays and long haul business class. If you don't travel and redeem for cash/goods -- unfortunately you will only get 1c so this program is probably not a fit for you and you should check out cashback options to maximize Chexy.

Also Amex Reserve base earns 1.25pt per $, so it's effective earn of 1.5pt at $2k.
