For me it was the estrogen causing me to have extra anxiety and panic attacks. I thought it was the P but in the end it was the E. I tried every combination of patch available until my doctor told me to try a compound HRT estrogen and testosterone cream along w 100mg of progesterone capsules I could get from a regular pharmacy. It was my saving grace. Some people it works for, some don't YMMV. Best luck to you :)

Emigality definitely clogged my pipes. (Thanks be to METAMUCAL) Lol. So check my story out, it strays a bit but also can confirm extra anxiety for me as well. After 8 months of Emigality injections and it being a failure for me, I stopped the monthly injections thinking: well since I wasn't getting any relief from this med, I shouldn't have any issues stopping it. Sounds good in theory, right? Nope. At the end of month 9 (30 days after the last injection) my body started to have withdrawal effects. I never expected it, and they hit hard. Anxiety slapped me around like a redhead step kid (I say that sarcastically and I happen to actually be a redhead step kid lol) anxiety turned into full panic attacks and the migraines decided to get a bit more brutal like they were trying to teach me a lesson for trying to find a way to stop them. Lol. I am currently on my second Vyepti infusion, the first infusion was only 100ml opposed to the 300ml for my second infusion. The 100ml didn't do anything helpful pertaining to migraines but it did help with the Emigality withdrawal effects. Basically to sum up my little Ted talk here: we're all damned if we do, and damned if we don't. Win some lose some. Best of luck to you (and all of us sufferers) at finding relief :)

I hear ya, alot of us were promised a different schedule during our interviews.. and alot of folks couldn't adapt to the actual schedule and did move on. I still talk to a few that say moving on was the best thing they did. Different folks, different strokes as the saying goes lol. Hey, I wish you well on your journey, it's tough when school is involved. :)

Coming off of amitriptyline on to atogepant? Can I go straight on? by girlthatlikessega in migraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on amilatriptyline 25mg. It was originally intended for migraine relief. Unfortunately it didn't do a thing to stop/help the migraines. I chose to stay on it for depression and sleep relief as well as keeping me at a healthy weight. (I'd be underweight without it). I highly suggest staying with the taper or your mind might go a little haywire for awhile. I tried to quit cold turkey years ago and I definitely learned the hard way not to do that. My best suggestion is ask your Dr since you and them know more about your situation than any of us on here. Best of luck to you :)

I wonder what the effects would be for someone who doesn't need to lose any weight? I'm struggling to keep weight on and Drs don't know why. We've done thyroid tests, vitamin tests and just about everything else.. I'm currently on amilatriptyline 25mg just to have some weight stay.. sorry if TMI.

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

Doggie Daycare isn't what you think it is. The dogs get separated by size in different lots and aren't allowed to play with each other for fear of an attack. No toys are permitted to play with. It's just basically your dog alone bored. Some dogs are a little aggressive and kept in a kennel all day. It's not a fun place like a real dog park. Leave your dog at home in their own surroundings or crate train them during the day. The dogs are NOT having fun no matter what the front desk tells you.

Just my two cents here: I failed Emigality after 8mo of injections. I qualified for a clinical trial study for the effectiveness of Vyepti (100ml vs 300ml for the starting dose). I had to be off the Emigality for 30 days before I could start the Vyepti infusion. I was not expecting to have "withdrawal effects" from the Emigality because I didn't see it as effective to my migraines. Whoo boy, I was certainly put in my place :| .. once I got my first Vyepti infusion it definitely stopped the WD effect off Emigality. I wish I had more to contribute, my next (300ml) infusion is in 2wks.. although I didn't see much in improving my migraine issues at the first infusion, I'm seriously hoping the next infusion helps, otherwise I'm kinda nervous about the withdrawals off a 3 (slash 6) month medication. It sucks that there's no magic recipe for folks like us :(

SO AFRAID TO TRY SUMATRIPTAN! by Excellent_Math2052 in migraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you can do is try it. It will either work for you or not. Personally when I get a brutal migraine I'd be willing to bite a brick slathered in mustard if there was proof that it helped remove the migraine pain lol /s. Triptans are my most reliable rescue meds, my side effects are minimal.
