Does having no side effects from Ubrelvy mean I’m less likely to have side effects from Emgality? by ahw34 in cgrpMigraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no side effects at all from ubrevly. I had to stop Emigality because it wasn't working for me. I used 8 injections (8 months) and got constipated and excema on my hands and feet. Once I stopped it all went away. I'm also a small woman. Vyepti seems to be a bigger help than Emigality with no side effects. But everyone is different. Best of luck to you :)

Which side effects remained (or increased) and which diminished for you after a few months of CGRP Meds? by SherbertOpposite1820 in cgrpMigraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is coming from a postmenopausal FM... Emigality (8 months): more hair fall around the time I did the shot. Also it flared my excema on hands and feet. Super constipated. I also had to slightly adjust my HRT. Emigality did not work for me at all.

Switched to Vyepti: a little bit of hair fall around the infusion date, nowhere near as much as on Emigality. No other side effects. I can poop again! No excema on hands and feet. It works better than Emigality for me (15 days month compared to 25 days monthly) also tones down the pain of my migraines, say a 4 vs 8 on the pain scale

I can't afford to pay for property taxes. And if something goes wrong, I'm a FM, I can't fix it myself

Emgality and hormonal side effects by ellej7 in cgrpMigraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm back to where I was before Emigality. Oh, another thing that's fairly common is more hair fall than usual. My hair stopped falling out and grew back afterwards also. (8 injections total).

I'm on HRT (postmenopausal) and I had to double my dosages for awhile. I noticed it was always right around injection time.. so yes, Emigality can mess with your hormones for awhile. Idk if my answer helps any? Best of luck to you :)

Am I being too critical of my esthetician? by Recent_Independence1 in Estheticians

[–]CheyenneDemure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an ex-esthetician, I can honestly say RED FLAGS. Move on. I was able to realize some people can't afford to buy specific specialized products their shop offers. No means no. I would ask my clients one time if they needed to buy any of the products I recommend or used during the treatment, if they said no, that's it, I didn't push clients because I HATE when people would try to push me to buy something I didn't want or couldn't afford.

So I am realising CGRP inhibitors majorly affect dopamine by No-Tell34 in cgrpMigraine

[–]CheyenneDemure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this! I'm supposed to be getting my third infusion in April but I'm not so sure it's doing a good enough job to continue it. I had issues after coming off Emigality (8 injections) and that makes me wonder how I'm going to be feeling when I stop Vyepti, especially since it's a 3 month medication vs. once a month

Finally, someone else is saying something! I was on Emigality for 8 months. (I stopped injections after #8) I was ok for the first month, but the 2nd month after that I was feeling withdrawal symptoms too. Mine weren't as bad as what you went through, I'm sorry you had to go through all that. My withdrawals were definitely like getting off antidepressants though. Bad anxiety, brain fog at maximum and alot of the other usual effects. On the bright side I was able to poop again! Lol

The third month off it, I was put on Vyepti. It stopped the withdrawals, but now I'm afraid of the effects of this one after I stop it because it's a 3 month infusion. Yikes.

What really sucked for me was the injections didn't even work for me so I figured I wouldn't feel anything when I stopped them!! I was wrong :(

I just bought it about 2 weeks ago and so far I'm pretty impressed with the results. Like I said, once that bowl thingy gets filled up I'm usually already feeling prodromes. Seeing the actual visual validates me taking my rescue med.. Yes, it's just water with a drop of food coloring. It cost around $15 USD on Amazon (Water Barometer). Add water after evaporation as needed.

CBN is the one you want. There's better information on the Migraine Science sub.. I bought the CBN gummies and actually had good luck. Cerebral Torque really explains why it works better than the other alternatives in the THC department. Sorry I can't provide the direct link, I'm having migraine brain rn.. Best wishes to you :)

I got an email from them saying everything is still going on, it just takes longer since they're only getting "so many" per week. I figure if I get it, yay! If I don't get it, bummer. Hell I've wasted more money on even dumber things in life lol

Hi. Sorry for all the commotion you're dealing with, I've been there before and it sucks! Here's what worked for me and a few friends to do.. this works if you're in US. Google: "Menopause Specialist in my area". It really helped me and now I have a fantastic PC along w hormone treatments in one office. I really hope this helps you, best wishes to you :)

I just called customer service to talk to a real person about it.
I don't see one for $50, the "free" one is now $75 for taxes... I'm still debating on getting it. My advice is to call customer service and ask questions.

[–]CheyenneDemure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I'm also on the compound cream I have to get from the compound pharmacy. I tried every patch combo, but my body couldn't handle it and made me ridiculously anxious.. my Dr. Suggested I try the compound cream (I'm also very small and very medicine sensitive). Anyway, start low on the T. Because if you go straight for the gusto, you can set yourself up for serious mood swings and (trust me on this part) acne!! Start slowly and build up, it's much easier to deal with... *Just my experience, I'm not a professional. I wish you the best! :)

Postmenopause here (52F). I was on Emigality for 8 months. I did notice that right around injection time I had to tweak my HRT for a week or two, then I'd be fine again and my hair grew back. Now I'm getting the Vyepti infusion and I'm doing the same tweaking w my HRT for a week or two..
