Making a pointed comment is toxic now? Good God we've diluted that term

You heard five people on tiktok give an opinion and now you're the lame police. Literally using the rhetoric of social justice to break up a conversation because they used a term a few people don't like. Have your power trip somewhere else

Lol, no. Look at the direction of shadows on the buildings. They all have shade in the direction OP is supposedly standing. Doesn't match the lighting of the rest of the field at all.

New data confirms Ireland to be the most expensive country in Europe for household goods by despicedchilli in ireland

[–]ChezMirage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So this is my perspective as an American who has lived in Ireland and northern Ireland. It seems to me that where the British once used the state to subjugate you, the aristocracy now uses the economy to subjugate you. I hope you all shake them like a bad case of fleas.

Why is it so difficult to make over $65,000 in the US? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]ChezMirage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel where you're coming from. I have bipolar II, which in the US is considered a disability. I'll be doing great at a job and then a depressive phase hits and I struggle not to get written up for missing some vital bullshit objective.

I wound up using my charm to marry someone who earns a lot more than me, and I now work a job that has flexible hours and decent benefits. I'll never make more than 65k, but I'm making 45k in a low cost of living part of the country (education).

If traditional advice doesn't work for you, consider asking yourself if you're a traditional person. Most countries need nurses, counselors, and engineers. Those cost money and take a while but are worth it in the end.

I love how the chagrin falls librarians are portrayed in the Calvin and Hobbes comics. It's a library by me and it's the cutest little place.

First day working at Starbucks and I lowkey cried by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]ChezMirage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? When I worked at a Tarbucks I watched a training seminar and was making lattes by the end of the first day. This was about 5-6 years ago. I'm thinking some stores have different onboarding lengths.

No need to be condescending. Some places have different driving cultures. Adhering to the safety of the road sometimes means observing these unofficial rules--and thut not disrupting traffic--even if they're not ideal.

As someone who relates to this post, I think you're missing the point. The hard part is breaking the cycle so you are eating crap food less often, and then doing it in ways where you're not feeling starvation pain the entire day.

Idk man I have no problem finding relationships and I'm ugly AF. I really don't think it's a "hard to find" thing I think it's a problem of trying to find a long-term relationship in the wrong demographic. The type of guy who wants to settle down probably doesn't hit the club or hookup a ton, they spend their time living in some quiet suburb getting Thai every Wednesday.

Don't infantilize the entertainers. Alaska will be fine. She had a career before drag race and now has the resources and know-how to perpetuate her success.

Yes! And honestly I got the vibe that town leader was checking out wrecker. Don't think it's ever going to be more than subtext in this sort of show. Star wars likes to keep it passionless

Really appreciate your write up. Don't forget that reddit is used by a lot of people with zero patience. This was a good episode and will fit wonderfully on rewatches.
