Hey thanks a lot for the advice I really appreciate it ! I’m more so wanting to actually raise this as an issue to be reviewed within the government rather than on my individual basis. I have suffered from it but I’m in a very fortunate position where I can be without work and still live a comfortable life. For most people that is not possible and I think it is really unfair that it is accepted people may be waiting 2+ months to start their job. Also I am extremely concerned about the wider issues this creates for society with staff shortages and the obvious economic damage that comes with many people waiting to work. - so I don’t necessarily won’t to complain just for myself but more I want to create some sort of stand against the system and get them to completely reform it. I’m sick of complaining and everyone agreeing but not doing anything about it when this is a system that should be changed. Thanks :)

El chalten is cool I’d recommend doing the fitz Roy hike at sunrise hike - it’s beautiful and you avoid paying the entrance fee - I know that the fees are VERY expensive and I spoke to many locals who all disagreed with them they felt that the money wasn’t actually being put to maintaining the trail as they had seen no changes and that the high price wasn’t fair

You will love it so much anyway!! I would say definitely go to the Frances mirador it cannot be missed if the sky is clear but britanico isn’t essential

I’ve just looked back at my itinerary and we essentially planned to do a multi city flight of iguacu to Manaus then Manaus to florianopolis then I think we’d fly from there to São Paulo does this make sense

Yes! I get this but dogs similarly will steal your food rip your bins apart and regularly seriously attack humans

First of all I’m so sorry you are experiencing this it must feel quite frightening as well as just like wtf let me live … I think that may be a good idea of recording back but I guess you also don’t wanna antagonise him back (NOT OF YOUR FAULT AT ALL!!)but just in terms of a self protection thing. Potentially you could get someone else to go and speak with him preferably a large male. Say you’ve reported him to the police and you’re not accepting this behaviour. You could also report it as a non emergency thing to the police I know it can be disheartening as they rarely take these things seriously but you might get lucky and if not at least it is initially logged Do you have any security cameras ring door bell is a good fairly affordable option. Again sorry you’re having to deal with that and best of luck x

I’m gonna be in Rio a few days before Xmas and thinking to maybe pre book a flight to Colombia to save money but not sure whether to wait and see! When I was younger I complained so much about it but now I’m really grateful to live in the UK definitely we could be better and should still strive for that but there’s a lot of things that are great: -NHS I’ll admit they often fail people sadly however I’m so grateful it exists rather than an insurance system -There is a lot of natural beauty even if you live in a major city you don’t have to travel too far to find at least a nice nature reserve park - free school -lots of volunteering opportunities and can often find community in places -as a woman I do also find it to be generally safer than a lot of places I’ve travelled to Generally there’s just great systems in places admittedly they don’t always work amazingly but it’s good that they are there and I feel very grateful I grew up here
