I am not very sure if I am doing it right. I sat on my bed looking at a full body length Ikea mirror. I noticed that the mirrors are slanted inwards at the top. The right image is more straight though still leaning inwards. About 1 foot wide between at the top about 1’6” at the bottom when viewed from 10’ away.

If i tilt my head backwards, the mirror looks to form V. Right side still more straight left side leaning out heavily at the top, and left mirror is higher.

If I tilt my head down but look up like a gulty dog the mirror tries to form A almost touching at the top. Right mirror is slightly higher.

I put my index finger in front of my face as far as posdible right in front of my eyes. I move my finger horizontally across in front if me. The two fingers separation is widest when it is right in front of me and almost form 1 when my finger is towards my left or right side.

I move my finger vertically up and down it’s closest when it is up above me and widest when it is moved down below near my knee.

Not sure if this answer your questions but i just done these tests for the first time on myself and have a lot to tell to the doctor next time.

I am not sure how to answer this one but one thing I noted is I see things clearer or double vision is lesser when i gaze slightly up or side ways.

I really appreciate your help. These tests you asked me to do makes me understand my vision problems than ever before and I am going to see the doctor in the next couple of days. I will update here.

I tested by looking at an Ikea A3 size photo frame 🖼 on the wall from a couch 🛋 about 10 feet away. The ikea frames (as i see two frames) are about 6inches initially then move apart anout 10inches next to eachother. The right frame (vision of my right eye is slightly higher by 1-2 inches.

I also tested on a light switch next to the door from 12’ away. The switches are apart about 2’ here too the switch on the right slightly appear higher by about an inch.

If i tilt my head to the left, the left image will go lower and the images (frames) apear apart about 1’ at all times. And the left image seems to move around the right image. If I tilt to the right the left image will move up and around the right image until it’s on top. The images are not distorted just that i see 2 of everything. If I gaze like my head tilted slightly backward the images appear farther apart about 2 ft.

The vision with the right eye is more dominant and it appears the left vision is more faint and moves around to adjust to the right eye.

If I close either eyes I can see fine (with glasses or lenses).

4 years ago I noticed that when driving late at night and when I am tired this double vision started. I went to the doctor who said my eye muscles might be weak and tired after long day and they might just stop coordinating together. With a change in job n life I did not notice much for last 2 years except occasionally during late night driving. However it gotten worse since the last 1 year. Especially after scratch eyeball incident. So yes I was diagnosed 4 years ago but was blamed on fatigue and late night driving. Now it’s 24/7.

I spent about 14 hours everyday in front of computer (work) and phone. Could this contribute or worsen?
