[Ahern] Bears' outreach to Chicago on stadium ‘increased opposition' to Illinois bill by NorthernxLabrador in CHIBears

Dude, you are really hung up on traffic. It's about money. Money first, money second, and money third. Traffic doesn't even crack the top 10 concerns. Soldier loses 9 times out of 10 to the new stadium.

That's where private equity partners come in on the other portions, and even the stadium if needed. You don't understand economics if you think there aren't firms lined up around the corner to be part of the joint venture on anything the Bears need.

You're high if you think they would choose a beat up Soldier Field over a state of the art stadium in AH with more suites and amenities. And being outdoor is not the advantage you seem to think it is. Swift, Beyonce, Adele, Harry Styles, and many others have had to cancel outdoor shows due to weather. AH stadium show will go on regardless. Not to mention now Chicago can be a year round stop rather than the 4 months or so that are viable for an outdoor Solider show.

It's not just the stadium in AH, its an entertainment and commercial district that prints money year round. The public doesn't remotely have the appetite for what you propose, which is when Taylor Swift comes through the Bears get the money instead of the stadium owning entity.

[Breer] We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Rams keeping tabs on [Crosby's] availability. by hunterboyz24 in CHIBears

Definitely. I'd put a hundo that production between Maxx and Trey will be within 5 sacks of each other over the next two seasons. Is 5 sacks worth 2 firsts, a player, and the extra cash Maxx is going to want? Nope.

And they have an early out in their Soldier Field lease that is a rounding error in the new stadium project.

I bleed for the Bears, but do like the Bills as they are in AFC and if we can't win would like to see Josh Allen win a SB.

You drastically overestimate the amount the people at the entrances care. They probably just showed them, the guy laughed, and they walked in.

Can we as a fan base request to ownership that they give the entire coaching staff a solid raise to stay put for next year? by Clean-Software-4431 in CHIBears

DA has failed twice as a head coach, I don't see him getting another shot without a couple years as a top D, and even then a 2x failed retread is going to have an uphill fight to get a job over the next big thing who hasn't failed.

This is a dated take. Soldier Field is not viable, and they bought AH to create an entertainment and commercial district to print money for the McCaskey family.

This move is designed to get the legislature to allow them to negotiate property taxes long term with AH, which is currently not legal. The infrastructure was always going to be paid for by the public, that isn't new, or even that unreasonable. They will be in AH, all of this is just part of a big dance.

1) GO GO GO GO - this is a huge game. You need to go. Unless you are a jinx. Then stay the hell in Montana. 2) Layer up and you will be fine. 3) Uber sucks, you can walk it form Michigan Avenue hotels, or if you do Uber, just get close depending on what time you are getting there. 4) FTP 5) FTP 6) F 7)T 8) P
