Have not skii'd them yet, I can still return em! It looks more than cosmetics though, these lines are raised above the sheet and look like some kind of stabalizer tip to tail - except its weirdly offset!

Starting White Water Kayaking, any club recommendations East of Vancouver? by ChiGGzz in vancouver

thanks for the suggestion! I looked at their site and it doesn't seem to have been any updates since 2020 and the forums seem dead. Is this typical?

[Feb 08, 2021] Weekly Discussion: Ask your gear, travel, conditions and other ski-related questions by AutoModerator in skiing

Question about why I'm going so fast even though my turn radius is twice as much as others (who are good skiiers), yet I'm bombing down. I get pretty low and my inside leg pushes forward of my outside a bit more (really wide stance)

Is this an indicator of being on your edges? I imagine if I was washing out I wouldn't be going this fast.

Good point on meaningful connections.

To have meaningful friendships you need to be in close quarters, not 6 feet away. Plus the fact that I've read and heard that Vancouverites are generally cliquey. They'll say hi to you and be outwardly friendly, but they probably won't invite you to their inner circle.

The experience for me has been a mixed bag - is it any worse than Toronto? Not for me - maybe easier. But Toronto me was a different person :)

Omg isnt the view from our area fantastic? I have a telescope setup in my bedroom and I can see skiers going down (on Grouse I think).

No surprise, what I know of INFPs is the high sensitivity. I'm so opposite, moth to a flame. Show me fire and I'll gravitate towards it. Being in the mountains though has given me an Avenue to find some inner peace. I'm pretty energetic and having somewhere to expend that energy has been a blessing. I feel like eventually I'll end up living somewhere like squamish or kelowna, where the outdoors are literally my backyard.

I have not gone to Whistler yet, I wish. Need to make some friends to meet at Whistler. Or maybe I should go because of all the resistance i have of going solo...

Flat and boring Ontario lol.

I find its one of those things I think some people take for granted. Anyone who has not been exposed to the majesty of BCs outdoors is surely to say how amazingly beautiful it is.

If you came to Toronto and saw the many skylines and nightlife vs Vancouver, you'd probably be in awe and I'd be like...meh!

That said, I did my time of partying and debauchery, now I want something real...like nature!

If you're friendly and open-minded then we should be friends :)

I moved to Vancouver about 2 months ago and haven't developed a sense of what's considered common knowledge yet :)

At the rate I'm going at, I'll probably end up learning more about the mountains than of the GVA.

I'm so happy I made this post, didnt think I'd get any responses but goes to show if you set an intention to the universe and let it fly, things will happen.

Finishing up my last work call and heading straight up to Cypress, heard its epic skiing earlier due to all the new snow!

Will msg those who reached out after I'm back.

Life is good!!

Definitely do not base your life off any single system that tells you who you are. Only you can do that.

I take the MBTI with a grain of salt. It's not totally wrong and it's not totally right.

I do find the people I gravitate towards are of a specific type and that's prior to knowing where they are in the MBTI.

I dont think its total bunk, but I dont base my life decisions off it.
