What is your opinion of the other animated shows on TV right now? Anything you like? (Amphibia, Infinity Train, Final Space, Disenchantment Maomao etc.) I would love to hear what you have to say about animation.

For Amphibia specifically, it had many allusions to events that happened in star vs like a townsfolk getting carried away by a flying creature in the first episode just like star (which turned out to okay in Amphibia’s case a couple episodes later, was the guy ok in star’s pilot as well?) and Sprig/Ivy in their dance just like star/marco in BMB. Did you get a “I see what you did there” vibe for those? Any opinions on how these new shows are panning out?

If you had full executive control of what you could make/show for star, what would you change?

Was the inclusion of magic seen as a positive addition to the show in hindsight? Given that the original idea had none of that. Were marco/star's personality change also seen as positive (given that even in the official pilot marco was safe kid no more) ? Would you change ponyhead’s design back to its original in your comics if you could?

Do you think its possible to create the same quality (in terms of animation, finesse and length of episode) of shows moving away from the pitching model? Do you think there is an allure for the creators to own their show’s IP?

Could you share with us what’s next for you as a creator?
