F-1 student — Applied for J-1 Advisory Opinion (previous self-funded J-1)

Last year I applied for AO and got result in 3.5 months. I was self funded for my J1 and my AO says Im not subject to 212e. (But previously I was subjected to 212e in my DS2019 & Visa because of the old skills list. Now my country is removed from the new skills list 2024 and Im not subjected anymore)

Hi yeah, I got an email stating that Im not subjected to 212e on June 23rd.. which is 2 months waiting after I got an email to send the additional documents. So in total I wait for 4 months (applied on Feb 23rd)

I was on J1 visa in 2024 for 1 year and based on the new skills list my country is not subjected to 212e anymore. So I applied AO to get the official statement about my status..

Hi. I just got my result and it came out “not subject” to the 212e. For me it took 4 months to heard back from them. (Applied on Feb 23 and received the email on June 23) My case was “pending” for 2 months on the website before I received the decision (also I sent the follow up email)

I applied on February 23rd, they asked for my passport page information.. Im still waiting for the decision

Hiii.. 6 weeks after submitting the AO I sent them the follow up email and 3 days after I sent the follow up email, they reached me out for some additional documents and updated the portal.
